HomeMy WebLinkAbout09262002MinMINUTES • BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT SEPTEMBER 26, 2002 The Board of Adjustment of the City of Sanford, Florida met in Regular Session in the City Commission Chambers of the City Hall at 11:40 AM on September 26 25, 2002. Members Present: Larry Blair Ruth Stamm Sylvia Smith Members Absent: Karl Stairs, excused Andrew Valente, excused Others Present: Dan Florian, Building Official Jo -Ann Johnson, Admin Secretary The Chairperson Larry Blair called the meeting to order at 11:40 AM. The following letter was submitted for consideration: Board of Adjustment City Hall Sanford, FL 32771 • Gentlemen: I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a variance in the Zoning Ordinance. Address: 450 S. Elliott Ave. Legal Description: Lot 35 Fort Mellon PB 3 PG 69 Zoning Classification: SR -IAA Front Yard Setback Requirement: 25 ft. Variance Requested: 10.9 ft. Side Yard Setback Requirement: 10 ft. Variance Requested: 3.0 ft. Accessory Structure Setback: 4.0 ft. Variance Requested: 3.0 ft. The request for this variance is to approve an addition to the house and the garage. Any consideration given this request will be appreciated. Signed: Steven Vaughn The owner, Steven Vaughn, was present to the respond to any queries from the board regarding his application. The house addition is for a bedroom and a screen porch. The addition to the . garage will allow removal of a boat house attached to the garage that encroaches into the right - of -way (alley). BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT • SEPTEMBER 26, 2002 PAGE 2 Ms. Smith indicated that there was a discrepancy in the variance information regarding setback dimensions and the legal ads that had been run. Ms. Vaughn requested to table the variance request to allow staff to correct the legal advertisement. Ms. Smith moved to table. Ms. Stamm seconded Motion carried 3 -0.
