Gentlemen:
I am submitting the following information for your consideration in requesting a
dimensional variance for rear yard setback requirements in the Zoning Ordinance.
Address: 141 Oak View Place
Legal Description: Lots 15 Sterling Woods PB 54 PGS 93 thru 95
Zoning Classification: SR -1
Requirement: Rear yard: 20 feet
Variance requested: 5' to construct a room addition.
The request for this dimensional variance is to change the rear yard setback from the
required 20 feet to 15 feet to allow for a glass room enclosure on the existing patio. Any
consideration you may give this matter will be appreciated.
Signed: Nancy Jones, owner
Mr. Blair asked the applicant if she had any additional information to add to her
• application that the board needed to know. Mrs. Jones stated that she had a conservation
area behind her house. The original idea was to have a screen porch, but the security

like to build a room with glass windows rather than vinyl. Ms. Smith made a motion to
approve as submitted to reduce the rear yard building setback from 20 feet to 15 feet, as
requested to facilitate adding a room addition to the existing single family residence. Ms.
Stamm seconded. Motion carried 3 -0.
