I MINUTES PLANKING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING OF OCTOBER 161 1997 7:00 P.M. CITY COMMISSION CHEERS CITY MALL, SANFORD, FLORIDA MEMBERS PRESENT: Helen Stairs James Valerino Mac McClanahan Mike Skat Lynn Stogner Ben Dyal Otto Garrett MEMBERS ABSENT Ross Robert - excused James Hattaway- excused OT HERS PRESENT: Jay Marder, Director of Planning and Development Mrs. Stairs called the meeting. to order at 7:00 P.M. The first item considered was the Site Plan for a 15,000 square foot off ice/distribution facility located at 251 Central Park Drive in a PD, Planned Development Zoning. District. Harry Reynolds, Engineering Design, P.O. Box 520695, Longwood, was present for representation. Commission Members had questions regarding Staff's concerns regarding on site truck movements without backing up on Central Park Drive. Mr. Skat moved on approval. Seconded by Mr. Dyal. All in favor. Motion carried. The next item considered was to hold a Public Hearing to consider a request for a Conditional Use to establish a church at 2599 Sanford Avenue for property located in a RC -1, Restricted Commercial, and MR -2, Multiple Family Residential Zoning District. Rev. Felix T. Jauregui , 334 Springview Drive, Sanford, was present. Mrs. Stairs noted that this was the old Bible Book Store. Mr. Stogner moved on approval. Seconded by Mr. Skat. All in favor. Motion carried. There was a short discussion of code enforcement issues. Staff was requested to check the new sign at the Little Champ at CR 4.27 and Lake Mary Boulevard. The old semi - trailers in the back of the property of Sanford Avenue was mentioned. Staff noted that this property was under code enforcement. Mr. McClanahan moved to approve the Minutes as circulated. Seconded by Mr. Skat. All in favor. Motion carried. It is noted that Mr. Garrett had an excused absence for the two previous meetings.
