MINUTES PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION MEETING OF FEBRUARY 5, 1997 7 :04 P.M. CITY COMMISSION CHAMBERS CITY HALL, SANFORD FLORIDA MEMBERS PRESENT: Jim Valerino Otto Garrett Mac McClanahan Leon Brooks Michael Skat Lynn Stogner Ross Robert -. x . MFJ ABS MU: Helen Stairs - excused Ben Dyal- excused OTHERS PRESENT: Jay Marder, Director of Planning and Development Russ Gibson, Land Development Coordinator The meeting was called to order at 7 :00 P.M. by Mr. V'alerino. The first item on the Agenda was to hold a Public Hearing to consider a request for a Conditional Use for Cactus Bob's, located at 1566 French Avenue in a GC -2, General Commercial Zoning District, for the purpose of alcoholic beverage sales regardless of alcoholic content, consumption on premises in conjunction with a restaurant. (4 COP SRx ). Parcel No.: 36-19 -30- 512 - 0000 - -4050. Owner: Ramco USA. Representative: Robert Forte. Robert Forte, 1130 W. Artesia St., Oviedo, was present for representation. He stated that they are presently operating with a beer and wine license. Their main source is food, 65%, and 35% alcoholic beverages. Mr. Forte stated that they would like to offer their customers a wider variety of beverages. He stated that the alcoholic beverage license requires 150 seats with a minimum square footage of 2500 square feet. Presently, they have 3960 square feet with 122 seats. He stated that they have the square footage to meet the requirements. Mr. McClanahan moved for approval. Seconded by Mr. Skat. All in favor. Motion carried. Next on the Agenda was the consideration of the Site Plan for Lot 14, Sanford Central Park, two proposed off ice /warehouse buildings located at 125 Coastline Road and 101 Tech Drive in a RI -1, Restricted Industrial Zoning District. Parcel No.: 28- 19- 30 -5JB- 0000 -0140. owner: Robach, Inc. (Canterbury Concepts). Representative: Harry Reynolds, Engineering Design, Inc. Dick Holsombach , 1218 E. Langley Court, Lake Mary, was present. He stated that they are building a 22,000 square foot multi - tenant building and have reached agreement with City Staff on all items. Mr. Skat moved on approval with Staff's recommendations. Seconded by Mr. Stogner. All in favor. Motion carried. Mr. Brooks moved on approval of the Minutes as circulated.
