Franklin Darrell Grieme Cliff Miller John Morris Sheila Roberts Frank Whigham George Willis Others Present: Leah Rogers, Zoning Inspector 1 The meeting was called to order at 7:30 P.M. by the Chairman, J. Q. Galloway. The Chairman introduced the new member, Darrell Grieme, appointed by the City Commission to fill the unexpired term of Forrest Foggin, whose resignation was accepted at the last meeting. The first item for discussion was a site plan for a- shopping center, "Country Club Square" at 2461 -2497 S. Airport Blvd. in the GC -2 zoned district, repres- ented by Jim Bales. After discussion, Mr. Morris moved to approve. Mr. Franklin .seconded. Motion carried. The next item was a site plan for R & M Manufacturing Co. at 1200 Albright Rd. represented by LeRoy Robb. He said the building is to be used for storage for R & M. Mr. Willis moved to approve. Mr. Miller seconded. Motion carried. Mr. Robb asked to present from the floor, a site plan for an office addition to Florida Extrusions at 2540 Jewett Lane in the MI -2 zoned district. He said the plan had not been reviewed by the Engineering Dept. but he was requesting approval contingent upon engineering requirements. After discussion, Mr. Barks moved to approve with engineering approval. Mrs. Roberts seconded. Motion carried. Mr. Whigham abstained from voting. The next request from the floor was for a conditional use of a home occupation for telephone service only, at 2212 Mitch Ct. W. in the SR -1 zoned district represented by Richard Bruce, general contractor. After discussion, Mr. Morris moved to approve. Mr. Miller seconded. Motion carried. Mr. Mike Capko requested the Chairman to ask for an opinion from the board re- garding rezoning from SR -1 to RC -1 for a laundromat at the SE corner of 26th St. and Laurel Ave. After discussion, it was agreed that a Public Hearing would have to be held before the board could make a recommendation.
