The meeting was called to order at 7 :30 P.M. by the Chairman, J. 0. Galloway.
The first item for consideration was a Public Hearing for a conditional use
of a used car lot, located at 1120 S. Sanford Ave. in the GC -2 zoned district,
represented by Sanford Gould of 101 E. 27th St. He said the building is
vacant now and he intends to clean up the back lot and can store nine (9)
cars now; could have more with additional blacktop. He will have security
lights at night but no activity and no mechanical work will be done on site.
The only detail work will be cleaning cars as they come in for display on the
lot.
There was no one present to speak in opposition, but a letter was read from
an attorney representing Mrs. Neverless of 1209 Palmetto Ave., saying she is
in opposition because of the fact that it might lower the value of her property.
After discussion, Mr. Miller moved to grant the conditional use. Mr. Morris
seconded. Motion carried.
The next item for consideration was a request for conditional use of a home
occupation of telephone service for DeGameau Bookkeeping Service, to be located
at 102 E. Airport Blvd. in the SR-1 zoned district, represented by Florence
Glazier.
She said she will go to the place of business of her clients, pick up records,
take them home to work on and return them to the business, with no traffic
at the home address. Mr. Barks moved to grant the conditional use. Mr. Grieme
seconded. Motion carried.
The Minutes of the previous meeting were approved. There being no further
business, the meeting was adjourned.
J. 0. Galloway, Chairman
