Planning and Zoning Commission
Work Shop Session
7:00 P.M.

The Work Shop was called to order at 7:00 P.M. in the Commission Room, City
Hall.
Mr. Quigley was present to discuss the updated Comprehensive Development Plan
and explained that no specific changes had been made and it is intended to
be a broad guide. After discussion, Mr. Royster recommended approval of the
updated Comprehensive Development Plan with the following amendments:
1. Page 18 - Para 5. Under "Land Use ", add :high density
Residential Under "Zoning ", add: MR -2 and RMOI.
2. Page 29 - Para. 11- Grammatically reword statement.
3. Page 34 - Para. 7. Delete: "to discourage the use of
park land less than three (3) acres."
4. Page 33 -Para. 9, Change figure of 125 to 60.
Mr. Miller seconded. Motion carried.
Mr. John Alexander was present to answer questions in the discussion of the
possible amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to allow "fast food service for
off - premises consumption" in the RC -1 zoned district. Staff was instructed
to place the item on the next agenda to allow further study before setting a
Public Hearing.
The next item for discussion was regarding the Subdivision Regulations and
make a decision as to the developer's responsibility in unplatted or platted
areas. Mr. Miller moved to recommend to the City Commission that the Sub-
division Regulations be enforced and applied equally to developers within
platted areas, as well as new developers in unplatted areas. Mrs. Roberts
seconded. Motion carried. Staff was instructed to update the Subdivision
Regulations.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
