Franklin, Sheila Roberts — Members Absent: Bill Royster,/ Tom Wilson -"- Jan Freeman . - Gordon Meyer - Others Present: Al Payne, Zoning Director Mack LaZenby, Eity Engineer /Utility Director The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by the Chairman, J. Q. Galloway. The first item on the agenda was a site plan for Poppa Jay's Restaurant in the GC -2 zoned district at 2501 French Ave., represented by Carl W. Holt. Mack LaZenby said the city could not accept the plan with the present exits and entrances but felt something could be worked out with the owner and Engineer that would be acceptable. Mr. Sloan moved to table the item until the next meeting. Mrs. Roberts seconded. Motion carried. The next item for discussion was a request for a home occupation for "Home Decorating ", telephone service only, in the SR -1 zoned district at 2400 Willow Ave., represented by Billy Joe Fields. After discussion, Mr. Sloan moved to grant the request. Mr. Franklin seconded. Motion carried. The next request for a home occupation was.for "House Painting ", telephone service only, in the SR -1 zoned district at'2301 Hart- well Ave., represented by Matthew L. Thompson. After discussion, Mr. Franklin moved to approve. Mrs Roberts seconded. Motion carried. Mr. Elmer Smith and Tom Deppen were present to request a conditional use in the SC -3 district at 214 S. Palmetto Ave. for assembly of screen enclosures. After discussion Mr. Franklin moved-.to grant the request for the conditional use when the building meets the approval of city requirements. Mrs. Roberts seconded. Motion carried. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as mailed. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. J. 0. Gallowa YL1,9hairman
