Franklin -- Bill Royster ✓ Others Present: Gary Winn, Chief Building Inspector Mack LaZenby, City Engineer /Utility Director The meeting was called to order at 8:00 P.M. by the Chairman, J.Q. Galloway. The first item for discussion was a Public Hearing to rezone from MR -1 to RMOI, Lots 23 thru 33 and W2 of Lot 34, Block 9, Dream - wold, being more generally described as located south side of W. 25th St. between French Ave. and Grenada Ave. extension. Mr. Royer was present to speak in favor of the rezoning and said he has plans for a 40' X 140' building. He said that the items referred to in the City Engineer's comments had all been resolved and asked the board to consider 'a change to the plan whereby the building could be moved to allow an 8 -ft. space between, eliminating the need for a four -hour fire wall and allowing space for a tractor for mowing. After discussion Mr. Miller moved to approve the plan as presented with the option of moving the building 8 ft. Mr. Sloan seconded. Motion carried. Page 2 - - --- ---- - - - -- - - - - - -- - -- --------------------------------------- The next item for discussion was a site plan for a 10,000 sq. ft. metal building for ' C ' entral Aluminum Screen in the MI -2 zoned district at 701 Cornall Rd. represented by Tom Freeman for LeRoy Robb Construction and Elmer Smith of Central Aluminum. Mr. Freeman said they will comply with the requirement of the landscaping ordinance with trees placed along the adjacent property line. Mr. Sloan moved to approve the site plan, Mr. Miller seconded. Motion carried. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved as mailed. There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned. • Gall ,�-
