Knowles, Mack LaZenby, John Steffens, City Mai. ager City Engineer Zoning Inspector The meeting was opened at 8:00 P.M. by Arthur Harris, Chairman. The first item on the agenda was a request for a home occupation in SR -1 zone at 2600 Hiawatha for air conditioning and refrigeration repair, represented by Clifford Crandall. After discussion, Mr. Sloan moved to approve the request, Mr. Bridges seconded. Motion carried. The next item on the agenda was a site plan for an addition to a church at 24th & Chase Ave., represented by Joe Hester, who ex- plained the addition was for fellowship dinners, with no cooking facilities. Mr. Karns moved to approve, Mr. Davis seconded. Motion carried. The next item for discussion was a site plan and revised concept for Mod Properties, represented by Mel Mindich. Mr. Knowles was present to express the City's point of view, and said the concept was within the regulations of PUD. After discussion Mr. Davis moved to approve the concept, Mr. Franklin seconded. Motion carried. The next item for discussion was a site plan for a Day Care Center at Celery and Summerlin Ave. Ms. Zula M. Jackson was present to represent the request. Mr. LaZenby showed slides of the property and the parking plan was discussed. Mr. Franklin moved to approve the plan, Mr. Bridges seconded. Motion carried. The next item on the agenda was a request for a change of use to a recreation use at 400 S. Sanford Ave., represented by Charles Boykins. After discussion Mr. Franklin moved to approve the change of use, Mr. Davis seconded. Motion carried. MINUTES - Planning & Zoning Commission - Jan. 6, 1977 Page 2 The next item for discussion was a possible zoning in the City which would allow landfill. Mr. LaZenby showed slides of an area under consideration which is now MR -1L. After discussion it was decided to set a public hearing to change the Zoning Ordinance to include in each zoning district under "Conditional Uses Permitted ", an addition: "Federal, State, County or City owned or operated buildings and uses." The next item for discussion was a site plan for a convenience store and conditional use for self service gasoline pumps at the intersection of.Garden Ct. and Upsala Rd. by Shoemaker Construction. Motion by Mr. Franklin to approve the plan, second by Mr. Sloan. Mr. Sloan moved to approve the conditional use for self service gasoline, Mr. Karns seconded. Motion carried. The minutes of the previous meeting were approved. There being no further business, the meeting was:adjourned. Arthur Harris, Chairman
