Franklin Robert Karns John Steffens, Zoning Director Mack LaZenby, City Engineer David Farr, City Planner The meeting was opened at 8:00 P.M. by the Chairman, Arthur Harris. The first item on the agenda was a site plan for a retail sales at 501 French Avenue, represented by Phil Zeuli. After discussion regarding an area to be set aside for trash pick- up and installation of an air conditioner on top of the building, Mr. Royster moved to approve the plan, Mr. Davis seconded. Motion carried. The next item was a site plan for consideration for a storage building for the Good Samaritan Home at 808 Mulberry Avenue. Mr. Sloan moved to approve, Mr. Galloway seconded. Motion carried. The next item for consideration was a revised site plan for WUV'S Restaurant at 2911 Orlando Drive, represented by Gene Howald. After a brief discussion regarding the landscaping, it was agreed that the landscaping would conform to the City's requirements. Mr. Sloan moved to approve the plan, Mr. Davis seconded. Motion carried. The next item was a request for a home occupation at 405 Myrtle Avenue for CB radio sales, represented by Mr. Fox. Mr. Davis moved to approve, providing the applicant sign a letter stating the rules and regulations of home occupation, that hb.understands and will conform to the regulations. Mr. Franklin seconded. Motion carried. The next item for discussion, from the floor, was a request by Mr. Chapman to place his mobile home on his property at 2538 Oak Avenue. Permission was granted for him to store the mobile home on the condition that no connections be made, and no occupancy. Minutes Planning and Zoning Page 2 March 4, 1976 -------------------------------------------------- - - - - -- Further discussion on the possible need for an area for mobile homes in Sanford and a public hearing was set for March 18, 1976, to consider as a conditional use the use of mobile homes on owner - occupied lots in the SR -1 zones as single family residences, not as conditional use in any other zoned district. The next item for discussion was the street paving policy tabled from the last meeting. After discussion on a policy to be used after the paving program is completed, Mr. Royster * moved that the City neither require, or provide, paving in the future, but will stabilize and grade any unopened streets adjacent to future construction, residential and commercial. Mr. Galloway seconded. Motium carried.. Minutes from the previous meeting were approved as mailed.
