Planning and Zoning Commission
March 18, 1976

The meeting was opened at 8:00 P.M. by the Chairman, Arthur
Harris.
The first item for discussion was a use plan for an All -
Purpose Building Sales at 2711 Orlando Drive, represented
by Mr. DeGenero. After discussion regarding the type of
operation proposed, the parking and restroom requirements,
Mr. Galloway moved to approve the use plan, Mr. Sloan seconded.
Motion carried.
The next item on the agenda was a site plan for a retail
sales store on the west side of 2200 French Ave. represented
by Mr. Ball and Mr. Banks. The plan is for a store for
piano and organ sales, and an operation similar to Miller's
Hardware in Winter Park, with a service center to be added
with Phase II, shown on the plan. A landscape and parking
plan is to be submitted at a later date. Mr. Sloan moved
to approve the plan, contingent upon a landscape and parking
plan, Mr. Royster seconded. Mr. Karns abstained from voting
on this motion because of a possible conflict of interest.

Motion carried by majority.
The next item for discussion was a conditional use for a
ground sign in RC -1 zoned district at 3108 Sanford Ave.,
requested by Mr. Bullock, Auto Parts & Supplies. Mr. Gischler
moved to deny the request and to send the proponent a letter
of denial. Mr. Karns seconded. Motion carried.
The next item for discussion was paving of the streets
deleted from the paving program because of the proposed
major drainage system. Motion to recommend to the City
Commission that the City go ahead and pave the streets in
Georgetown that were eliminated because of future drainage
line, and get the engineers to use the right -of -way instead
of paved areas by Mr. Royster. Mr. Galloway seconded.

Minutes from the March 4, 1976 meeting were corrected as
follows: Motion on the future paving policy for the Ct*
was made by Mr. Gischler instead of Mr. Royster. The
amended minutes were approved.
There being no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
