The first item on the agenda was a site plan for a medical
building at 901 E. 2nd St. represented by Dr. Day and Carl
Gutmann. After discussion, Mr. Sloan moved to approve the
plan subject to the submission of a landscape plan and a
12 -ft. parking space for the handicapped. Mr. Franklin
seconded. Motion carried.
The next item for discussion was a request for a ground sign as
a conditional use at 1911 French Ave. , represented by proponent,
Jim Avant. After discussion it was suggested to Mr. Avant that
he approach the property owner to erect one sign for all the
businesses in the shopping center. Mr. Royster moved to deny
the request, Mr. Karns seconded.. Motion carried.
The next request was for a conditional use as a motorcycle repair
shop in a GC -2 zoned distract in an existing building at the rear
of 205 E. 25th St. represented by William Huguley. After dis-
cussion it was agreed that a PubliE.Hearing might be in order.
Mr. Davis moved to hold a Public Hearing at the Oct. 21, 1976 meeting.
Mr. Franklin seconded. Motion carried.
Mack LaZenby presented exterior and interior plans for the pro-
posed new City Hall and explained the design.
The minutes of the previous meeting were approved. There being
no further business, the meeting was adjourned.
