Franklin Vic Gischler Kirby Moncrief Jeff Davis Bill Braceland, Building Official Mack LaZenby, City Engineer Dave Farr, City Planner The meeting was called to order by the Chairman, Arthur Harris. The first item on the agenda was a request for permission to erect a chain link fence in the GC -2 Zoned District, around the North, West and South sides of the State Farmer's Market, South- west corner of 13th. Street and French Avenue, represented by Mr. Marsh. Motion to approve by Mr. Sloan, seconded by Mr. Galloway. Motion carried. The next item was a request for approval of a use plan for a Food Service at 305 Park Avenue, represented by Mrs. Steffan. After discussion, the site plan was amended. Motion by Mr. Franklin to accept the amended plan, seconded by Mr. Sloan. Motion carried. Next was a request for approval of a site plan for a Plant Nursery at 2397 French Avenue. Mr. McAllister was present to speak in favor. Mr. Karns moved to approve the plan, Mr. Royster seconded. Motion carried. The next item was a request for approval of the erection of a chain link fence for a. permitted use in the GC -2 Zondd District for a Plant Nursery adjacent to the South side of Blue Book Car Sales on 17 -92, represented by Mr. Harold Fues. Mr. Gischler moved to approve the fence. Mr. Franklin seconded. Motion carried. Mr. Ron Black was present to request approval of a site plan for ABC Liquors, a tabled item from a. previous meeting. Mr. George McCammon was also present, representing the San Situs property. Discussion followed, and based upon the inability to agree on the construction of the Shannon Drive extension and a deceleration lane on Orlando Drive, plus the fact that the Staff did not receive the plans in time to study them prior Planning and Zoning Commission June 5, 1975 Page 2 to the meeting, Mr. Royster moved to disapprove the plan, Mr. Sloan seconded. Motion carried by majority with five votes for the disapproval. Mr. Harris and Mr. Karns voted against the motion. The next item for consideration was the possible rezoning of all, or a portion of, the property outlined on a map presented' for review. The area presently being zoned MR -1 and MR -2 to be considered for R,I -1 Zone. The following people appeared in favor: Tom Downing, Acme Conveyor; Chris Ebaugh, B. Edwards Builders Supply; J. D. Freeman, Seminole Surplus; Roy trantly, W. 3rd. Street, Grocery Store owner. The Chairman set a Public Hearing for June 26, 1975, the next regular meeting, to consider rezoning from MR--1 and MR -2 to RI -1, that property generally described as bordered by Cedar Avenue, Second Street, Pecan Avenue and Seventh Street. Set a Public Hearing for July 10, 1975 to amend the zoning ordinance by adding a landscaping portion to Article VIII, Supplementary Regulations, submitted by Dave Farr, City Planner. Minutes of the previous regular meeting and special meeting on May 22, 1975, were approved on a motion by Mr. Karns, seconded by Mr. Royster.
