a public hearing on rezoning of the property located at 801 East
Fourth Street, from its present classification of R -2, One and
Two Family Dwelling District to that of a C -1, Neighborhood
Commercial Zoned property to permit a neighborhood convenience
store. A public hearing was for May 6th to hear this request.
A general discussion was held regarding the suggestions by the

made at the two meetings with the realtors and that this would
assist the City Planner in the completion of the land use map.
Use of 2400 French Ave as a Sprite Trailer Camper Sales and rental

A report on the Workable Program recertification was given by
the Building Official and it was noted that many hours of work
are required before a project such as this can be compiled as
it includes such things as; codes in effect, total inspections
made, condemnation program, number of persons relocated and
many other items. Mr. Risner explained that we must submit
this recertification application and include all information
about what we have done since the original application was
completed to see how we have complied with the items we stated
would be done and explain why others had not been done. The
certification of the City of Sanford expires June 1, 1971. The
City Planner and the Building Official are working together to
meet this deadline.
A map renaming the streets on the Sanford Airport was next submitted
to the Commission for review and on motion of Mr. Rowe second from
Mr. Berrien and carried, it was moved that the map be retained for
study by the Planning and Zoning Commission.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
Chairman
