Mr. Bert Hollingsworth was welcomed as a new member of the
Commission to complete the unexpired term of Mr. Clifford
McKibbin.
The City Manager advised the Zoning and Planning Commission
that they had been appointed by the City Commission to act
as the Urban Renewal Agency during the Urban Renewal Program.
He commended the members of the Board on their appointment
and assured them that this was due to their unquestionable
integrity and loyal service.
Each member was supplied with a copy of the proposed Seminole
County Road Program that was submitted by the County to the
State Department of Transportation on January 26, 1970. During
the evening the members compared this proposed program with

State Department of Transportation. It was evident after
comparison of the three programs that there was considerable
difference of opinion regarding some of the primary and
secondary roads.
Mr. Harris suggested that each member study the information
given to them and make a list of the changes that each felt
might be of some value to the program and at the next
meeting further study of the changes would be made.
The subdivision regulations were next taken under advisement
and after several minor changes it was moved by Garnett White
to recommend to the City Commission that the Subdivision
Regulations be adopted as submitted by the Zoning and Planning
Commission. Seconded by Don Bishop and carried.
As an added note Mr. White apprised the Board of his desire
to see the Sanford area grow possibly by annexation and to
increase the interest of industrialist to locate in this area.
It was the concensus of the Board that each person should give
this serious thought and strive to bring about this desired
growth.
There being no further business the meeting was adjourned.
