Members present were Nessers a Relibbin, Faville, Les Hams, Talley, and
new member Herbert Hirshberg also present was City Manager Knowles.
Meeting was called to order by Chairman Nalibbine
Mrs Herbert Hirshberg, a Orly appointed member of the board, was welcomed.
Upon motion of Mfrs rarnes seconded by Mr. Talley, and carried, the minutes of
Nay 1 s 1858, were approved after their reading.
Upon motion of Mire Faville, seconded by M[r. Talley, amid carried, the minutes
of Nay 16, 1958, were approved after their readings
Upon motion of Mrs Talley, seconded by Mrs'Les, and carried, the -inn as of
dins 5, 1858, were approved after their readiage
The city Building Official had requested that the Zoning and Planning Came-
mission to review the plans for A Ke Shoemtaker's construction on the northeast
corner of ' 13th Street and filar ATemse in regards to the mininum requirements for
the off - street parMdag area. Basing their requirements for off- street parking sm the fact that this proposed construction would be to house a printing shop,
with the inclusion of two upstairs aparttirents and ' an extra off ice space, Nre raville
mewed that no less than 10 off - street parking spaces be accepted by the Building
Officials Notion seconded by Mirs barns and carried.
Chairman NaKibbin asked tae umbers to give now consideration to adopting
a policy that any matters requiring the cowdesicn's action or final decision at
their regular meeting, be filed ift the office of the City Manager at least tee (10)
days prior to the regular meeting, and that the applicant be notified within 24
hours after the meeting is hold as to the action taken by the board, and that this
policy shall be advertised is the local newspaper, the Sanford MMerald to put
interested parties on noticeā¢
This policy would give the members more opportune time to inspect the locality
involved in the request, and time to giwe'consideratioa - to the construction or
improvements that my be involving thousands of dollars.
Mire' Lee moved that in the interest of the board members and the applicant
involved, the above'polioy be so adopted, Notion seconded by Mrs Talley and
carried unanimously.
City Manager Knowles brought to the board's attention that the City of Doland`
bad received their w M w fbeuds in respect ' to the zoning and planning revision work,
and that the request for similar funds for Sanford was not too far down the list
free Deland9s.
There being no farther buasiness Mrs Lee moved fns adjournment, seconded by
lire Talley and passed.
