Regular Meeting
Thursday, August 21, 1958
Members present were Messers. McSibbin, Lee, Faville,
Morgan, and Johnson. Also present were Building Inspector
Yelvington and City Manager Knowles.
Chairman McKibbin called the meeting to order.
The reading of the previous minutes was waived.
Mr. Connell's request to rezone the south 89' of Lot 4,
all of Lots 5 and 6, Ella A. Pace sub - division from R -1 and
R -1A to R -2, multiple family was considered. Mr. Connell stated
that he plans to build eighteen duplex units on a horseshoe
shaped street coming off of Mellonville Avenue.
Mr. Morgan moved that the request be approved and recom-
mended to the City Commission. Mr. Johnson seconded the motion
and it passed.
The plans of the Food Fair store at 25% Street and Park
Avenue were submitted for consideration of off- street parking
requirements. The plans showed 55,480 square feet of paving
for parking, 14,965 square feet in the main floor of the Food
Fair Store, and 8,152 square foot area for the six rental stores.
Since the parking area provides for approximately 185 parking
stalls, the Commission approved the proposed plan for off - street
parking.
Mr. Dorgan made a motion to adjourn. Mr. Johnson seconded
the motion and it passed.
