The board approved the request to demolish a wood shed and install wood awning windows on the east elevation. PM Minutes Mr. Dieckhaus moved to approve the May 18, 2016 regular meeting minutes. Ms. Deming seconded. Motion carried 3-0, Ms. Agnini not present at this time. Ms. Agnini arrived prior to PM-1 item. Public Hearing/Meetings PM-1 Hold a Public Meeting to consider a Certificate of Appropriateness for construction of a detached garage. A revision to a previously approved Certificate of Appropriateness to change the siding pattern for the two- story residence at 807 S. Magnolia Avenue. Tax Parcel Number: 25-19-30-5AG-1002-0060 Property Owners: David and Laura Thawley Representative: Zach Miller Mr. Dieckhaus moved to approve the request for a Certificate of Appropriateness for the construction of a detached garage and revision to a previously approved Certificate of Appropriateness to change the siding pattern for the two story residence at 807 S. Magnolia Avenue based on a finding that proposed alterations are consistent with the purpose and intent of Schedule S and complies with the specific design guidelines contained within Schedule S, as outlined in the staff report. Ms. Deming seconded. Motion carried 4-0. PM-2 Hold a Public Meeting to consider an extension for a previously approved Certificate of Appropriateness for design of two storefronts at 110 S. Palmetto Avenue. Tax Parcel Number: 25-19-30-5AG-0302-0040 Property Owner: Whalers Saloon LLC Representative: Kelvin Eder Mr. Dieckhaus moved to approve the request for an extension to a previously approved Certificate of Appropriateness for design of two storefronts at 110 S. Palmetto Avenue based on a finding that proposed alterations are consistent with the purpose and intent of Schedule S and complies with the specific design guidelines contained within Schedule S, as outlined in the referenced staff reports. Ms. Agnini seconded. Motion carried 4-0. PM-3 Hold a Public Meeting to consider a Certificate of Appropriateness to install a leaded glass window on the west elevation at 2018 Mellonville Avenue. Tax Parcel Number: 31-19-31-513-0000-0040 Property Owners: Michael & Ana Yebba Representative: Michael Yebba Ms. Yebba recused herself since she is a property owner. The gavel was passed to Mr. Dieckhaus during this item. Ms. Deming moved to approve the request for a Certificate of Appropriateness to install a leaded glass window on the west elevation at 2018 S. Mellonville Avenue based on a finding that the proposed alterations do not conflict with the purpose and intent of Schedule S, as outlined in the staff report. Ms. Agnini seconded. Motion carried 3-0, Ms. Yebba abstained. Tax Parcel Number: 25-19-30-5AG-1106-001B Property Owner: Debra Nardello Representatives: Andy Kutz, Nick Manley, Rob Wallace, and Debra Nardello Ms. Agnini informed those present she had a conversation with Andy Kutz and did not know he was going to be a representative on this item. th Mr. Dieckhaus moved to approve the request to remove a chimney at 305 W. 9 Street based on a finding that the proposed alteration does not conflict with the purpose and intent of Schedule S, as outlined in the staff report. Mr. Dieckhaus moved to continue the request to the next meeting when all five members are present. Ms. Deming seconded. Motion carried 4-0. Code Enforcement Case Review Ms. Dalton distributed a copy of the Historic District Open Case Report and the Historic District Fine Report. There was discussion on the following properties: Bettye Smith Cultural Arts Center, Bishop Building canopy, Colonial Room awning, Wells Fargo Bank, 305 Park Avenue, and Cindy’s Dance Studio. Citizen Participation None. Staff Reports None. Chairman and Board Items for Discussion Election of the Chairman will be done once a new member is appointed to fill the vacancy left by the Chairman.
