Ms. Agnini called the regular meeting to order at 5:30 .Ms. Agnini informed the board and those present item

Mr. Dieckhaus moved to approve the August 17, 2016 regular meeting minutes. Ms. Deming seconded. Motion
carried unanimously.

at 210 S. Park Avenue based on a finding that proposed alterations are consistent with the purpose and intent of
Schedule S and complies with the specific design guidelines contained within Schedule S, as outlined in the staff
report. Mr. Cramer seconded. Motion carried unanimously.

or denial on them.

less maintenance and design cost.

Option 2: Mr. Dieckhaus moved to deny. Ms. Deming seconded. Motion carried unanimously.
Option 3: Mr. Dieckhaus moved to approve. Motion failed due to lack of a second. Mr. Dieckhaus moved to deny.

Staff Reports
Ms. Dalton distributed an information sheet the building department provides owners of locations within the historic
district when replacing or altering windows or doors, which is used to assist with meeting the Florida Building Code
and Historic Preservation requirements.
Ms. Dalton distributed a flyer and reminded everyone of the lecture series titled “Who We Are is What We Leave
Behind” being held on Thursday at the Historic Sanford Welcome Center.
Chairman and Board Items for Discussion
Ms. Deming asked if staff was aware of some type of 3D art on the building across from the old firehouse on
Palmetto Avenue. Ms. Dalton reported it was approved as temporary art.
Mr. Dieckhaus asked for the status on the Cottage Homes project and the Little Red Schoolhouse property. Ms.
Dalton reported Jerry Mills is working on the designs for the homes. Once the designs are complete and the project
is approved, there will be homes built on the property where the Little Red Schoolhouse was.
Ms. Deming asked for the status of the Hopper Academy building. Ms. Dalton reported she is not aware of the
opening at this time.
