GENERAL
The Notifier FireWarden -100 -2 (NFW2 -100) is a combination
FACP (Fire Alarm Control Panel) and DACT (Digital Alarm
Communicator/Transmitter) all on one circuit board. This com-
pact intelligent addressable control panel has an extensive list
of powerful features.
The SLC (Signaling Line Circuit) of the FireWarden -100 -2
operates using a Rapid Group Polling communication protocol
technology that polls multiple devices simultaneously for a
quicker device response time. This patented technology allows
a fully - loaded panel with up to 198 devices to report an inci-
dent and activate the notification circuits in under 10,seconds.
With this improved polling, devices can be wired on standard
twisted, unshielded wire up to a distance of 10,000 feet.
(Consult the wire table on page 3 for specific installation
instructions.)
The FireWarden- 100 -2's quick- remove chassis protects the
electronics during construction. The backbox can be installed
allowing field wiring to be pulled. When construction is com-
pleted, the electronics can be quickly installed with just two
bolts.
Available accessories include LED, graphic and LCD annunci-
ators, and reverse polarity /city box transmitter.
The panel is programmed through the FACP's keypad or via a
standard PS -2 computer keyboard, which can be plugged
directly into the printed circuit board. This permits easy typing
of address labels and other programming information.

NOTIFIER's FireVoice -25/50 Zoned System (NFV- 25/50ZS)
is a state -of- the -art Emergency Voice Evacuation Panel (EVAC)
capable of splitting up to 50 watts of audio power into up to
eight speaker circuits (i.e., zones). The NFV- 25150ZS provides
the ability to record five field - programmable messages (up to
60 seconds total message duration) with an integral commer-
cial -grade emergency communications microphone or from an
external audio source. Significant technological enhancements
set the NFV- 25/50ZS apart from other EVAC panels — these
include full supervision in both active alarm and standby con-
ditions, supervision of amplifier outputs, field wiring, message
generator, all tone generators, and the microphone. The inte-
gral power supply is capable of charging up to 18 AH batter-
ies, which can be housed in the NFV- 25/50ZS cabinet.
The NFV- 25/50ZS is suitable for use as an adjunct (slave or
stand - alone) to most UL- Listed Fire Alarm Control Panels
(FACPs). An optional 25 watt, 25 VRMs audio amplifier is avail-
able for system expansion to 50 watts or as a secondary am-
plifier in jurisdictions requiring such backup. A 70.7 VRMS con-
verter is also available for independently converting amplifiers

APPLICATION EXAMPLE
50 Watt Zone Splitting, Eight Speaker Circuits
50 watts total power with automatic control via ACS link
from the FRCP —see diagram below.
This application of the NFV- 25/50ZS configures the zone split -
ter module (ACC -ZSM) to divide 50 watts of audio from two
audio amplifiers (ACC - AAM25) into four speaker circuits each.
The FACP uses the ACS link connected to the zone page
module with keypad (ACC -ZPMK) for automatic activation of
the speaker zones and for alarm activation.
Configuration switches are set as follows:
• ACC -ZSM SW1 set to "AAM1 & AAM2" and SW2 to "Class
B" to place speaker circuits 1 - 4 on AAM1 and speaker
circuits 5 - 8 on AAM2, configured for Style Y (Class B)

ware version 2.x (1 = ON, 2 = OFF, 3 = OFF).
• NFV- 25/50ZS main circuit board DIP switch S3 set for single
zone mode, All -Call and two messages (1 = ON, 2 = OFF, 3
= OFF).
The FACP can automatically activate the Fire Evacuation
Message and any combination of the eight speaker zones. For
speaker circuit manual deactivation, press the activated zone
pushbutton on the ACC -ZPMK keypad. For manual activa-
tion, press either of the Message push- buttons, then select
the Zone pushbutton on the ACC -ZPMK keypad. For All -Call
Paging, press the All -Call pushbutton on the main panel key-

Auxiliary power output: specific application power 500 mA
maximum.
Output circuits:
• +24 VDC filtered, regulated.
• 3.0 amps maximum for any one circuit.
• Total continuous current for all outputs (stand -alone mode):
for FCPS -24S6: 4.0 amps maximum; for FCPS -24SB: 6.0
amps maximum.
• Total short-term current for all outputs (NAC expander mode):
for FCPS -2456: 6.0 amps maximum; for FCPS -2458: 8.0
amps maximum.
Secondary power (battery) charging circuit:
• Supports lead -acid batteries only.
• Float- charge voltage: 27.6 VDC.
• Maximum charge current: 1.5 amps
• Maximum battery capacity: 18 AH.
APPLICATIONS
Example 1: Expand notification appliance power an addi-
tional 6.0 amps (FCPS -24S6) or 8.0 amps (FCPS - 2458). Use
up to four Class B (Style Y) outputs or four Class A (Style Z)
outputs (using ZNAC -4). For example, the FACP notification
appliance circuits will activate the FCPS when reverse- polar-
ity activation occurs. Trouble conditions on the FCPS are
sensed by the FACP through the notification appliance circuit.
Example 2: Use the FCPS to expand auxiliary regulated
24 -volt system power up to 4.0 amps (FCPS -24S6) or up to
6.0 amps (FCPS- 24S8). Both resettable and non - resettable
power options are available. Resettable outputs are created
by connecting the resettable output from the FACP to one or
both of the FCPS inputs.
Example 3: Use addressable control modules to activate
the FCPS instead of activating it through the FACP notification
appliance circuits. This typically allows for mounting the FCPS
at greater distances* away from the FACP while expanding
system architecture in various applications.
For example, an addressable control module is used to acti-
vate the FCPS, and an addressable monitor module is used to
sense FCPS trouble conditions. Local auxiliary power output from
the FCPS provides power to the
addressable control module.
Addressable FACPs are capable
of locating control and monitor Style Y NAC or
modules at distances of up to Door Holder
90,000 feet (3048 meters). Power Sty

SYNC FOLLOWER/GENERATOR NOTE
In some installations, it is necessary to synchronize the flash
timing of all strobes in the system for ADA compliance. Strobes
accomplish this by monitoring very short timing pulses on the
NAG power which are created by the FACP. When installed at
the end of a NAG wire run, the FCPS -24S6/ -2458 can track
(i.e., "follow ") the strobe synchronization timing pulses on the
existing NAG wire run. This maintains the overall system flash
timing of the additional strobes attached to the FCPS.
When the FCPS -24S6/ -2458 is configured (via DIP switch set-
tings) as a "sync follower," the FCPS's NAC outputs track the
strobe synchronization pulses present at the FCPS's sync in-
put terminal. The pulses originate from an upstream FACP or
other power supply.
When the FCPS -24S6/ -2458 is configured (via DIP switch set-
tings) as a "sync generator," the FCPS's sync input terminals
are not used. Rather, the FCPS is the originator of the strobe
synchronization pulses on the FCPS's NAG outputs. In "sync
generator" mode, the sync type (System Sensor, Wheelock,
or Gentex) is selectable via DIP switch settings.

GENERAL
ND -100 and ND100R photoelectric duct smoke detectors are
used exclusively with the NOTIFIER FireWarden -100 (NFW-
100) addressable control panel. They provide low -flow tech-
nology that enables duct smoke detection throughout a broad
range of airflow environments in HVAC applications. The low -
flow technology can detect smoke at air speed velocities of
100 feet per minute (0.5 m/sec) or greater, while continuing
the same reliable performance to 4,000 feet per minute (20.32
m /sec). The intelligent low -flow duct detectors sample air cur-
rents passing through a duct and gives dependable perfor-
mance for shutdown of fans, blowers, and air conditioning
systems, preventing the spread of toxic smoke an fire gases
through the protected area.
ND -100 and ND -100R provide a remote alarm output for use
with auxiliary devices, such as the RA400 remote LED annun-
ciator, as well as remote test capability with the RTS451 or
RTS451 KEY Remote Test Stations. The ND -10011 features a
Form -C relay.
APPLICATIONS
Duct smoke detectors have specific limitations, they are:
• NOT a substitute for open area smoke detectors.

connect the supervision and connect the external power
supply in the proper polarity across the load device. The
disconnection of the supervision provides a positive indi-
cation to the panel that the control relay actually turned ON.
The external power supply is always relay isolated from
the communication loop so that a trouble condition on the
external power supply will never interfere with the rest of
the system.
Rotary switches set a unique address for each module.
The address may be set before or after mounting. The
built -in TYPE CODE (not settable) will identify the module
to the control panel, so as to differentiate between a mod-
ule and a sensor address.

by Honeywell
GENERAL
Four different monitor modules are available for
NOTIFIER's FireWarden -100 intelligent fire alarm control
panels to suit a variety of applications. Monitor modules
are used to supervise a circuit of dry- contact input de-
vices, such as conventional heat detectors and pull sta-
tions, or monitor and power a circuit of two -wire smoke
detectors (NZM -100).
NMM -100 —The NMM -100 Monitor Module is a standard -
sized module (typically mounts to a 4.0" [10.16 cm] square
box) that supervises either a Class A (Style D) or Class B
(Style B) circuit of dry- contact input devices.
NMM -100113 —The NMM -100P is a Miniature Monitor Mod-
ule (a mere 1.3" (3.302 cm) H x 2.75" (6.985 cm) W x 0.5"
(1.270 cm) D) used to supervise a Class B (Style B) cir-
cuit. Its compact design allows the NMM -100P to be
mounted in a single -gang box behind the device it is moni-
toring.
NZM -100 — The NZM -100 Interface Module is a Stan-
dard -sized module used to monitor and supervise com-
patible two -wire, 24 volt, smoke detectors on a Class A
(Style D) or Class B (Style B) circuit.
NDM -100 —The NDM -100 Dual Monitor Module is a Stan-
dard -sized module (typically mounts to a 4.0" [10.16 cm]
square box) that supervises two Class B (Style B) circuits
of dry- contact input devices.
NMM -100 MONITOR MODULE
• Built -in type identification automatically identifies this de-
vice as a monitor module to the control panel.
• Powered directly by two -wire SLC loop. No additional
power required.
• High noise (EMF /RFI) immunity.
• SEMS screws with clamping plates for ease of wiring.
• Direct Decade 01 - 99 (FireWarden -100) entry of ad-
dress.
• LED flashes red during normal operation and latches
on steady to indicate alarm.
The NMM -100 Monitor Module is intended for use in intel-
ligent, two -wire systems, where the individual address of
each module is selected using the built -in rotary switches.
It provides either a two -wire or four -wire Class A or Class
B fault - tolerant Initiating Device Circuit (IDC) for normally -
open- contact fire alarm and supervisory devices.
NMM -100 Applications — Use to monitor a zone of
four -wire smoke detectors, manual fire alarm pull stations,
waterflow devices, or other normally -open dry- contact
alarm activation devices. May also be used to monitor
normally -open supervisory devices with special supervi-
sory indication at the control panel. Monitored circuit may
be wired as an NFPA Style B (Class B) or Style D (Class D)
Initiating Device Circuit. A 47K ohm End -of -Line Resistor
(provided) terminates the Style B circuit. No resistor is re-
