Sanford will continue the process for your permit. Please give me a 48 hour notice when you are ready for the
tank removal. I will need to be onsite for the actual removal to the truck.
If I remember correctly, this site will require access into the secure area of the airport. Will you be the contact

Thank you for your quick response.
The tank will be transported to our shop in Mims by Pauls Towing out of Sanford.
The tank is already free of all fuel and residue as the customer had Fuel Tech perform this action nearly 2 years
ago. The tank is equiped with a 24" manway which will be removed and our technicians will perform testing of the
interior using NIOSH and LED just as if we were performing a confined space entry to the tank, this will be done
before the crane arrives to load onto the truck.
The tank will be here at our shop to have modifications to the pump and filter system in preparation for sale to
others and the location it will eventually wind up is not yet determined.

Good afternoon Neal, I have reviewed the Storage Tank Closure application. Comments regarding page 2 item 7
& 8. Who will be transporting the tank? How will the tank be rendered vapor less as per 62- 762.801(3)(c)?
FYI: This site will not required an environmental assessment as it is a double wall system, without history of
leakage or spill issues.

APPLICATION FOR CLOSURE OF POLLUTANT STORAGE TANK SYSTEMS
This application is to detail the work and persons involved in the closure of a storage tank system
subject to the provisions of Chapter 62 -761, F.A.C. The application should be submitted to the
Seminole County Permitting Office and the Storage Tank Compliance Program. (STCP) of
Seminole County, Department of Public Safety, Emergency Management Division at least 30
days prior to the initiation of the closure activities. Contact the STCP at (407) 665 -2333 or (407)
665 -2330. The STCP must also be given notice at least 48 hours prior to the initiation of the
closure to confirm the date and time of the activities (as per Chapters 62 -761 and 62 -762, F.A.C.)
There is no fee for review of the closure application.
Directions: Complete the following as indicated. Please note incomplete applications cannot be
processed by this office. One application is sufficient for more than one tank system at the same
facility involved in the closure, as long as the means of closure is identical for all tanks.
