In reference to the following rejected items:
Item 1- Cement plaster shall meet the requirements of the FBC Section 2512 and
ASTM C 926. Cement plaster on lath shall be a minimum of 7/8 thick
and shall be applied in 3 coats per ASTM C 926. The application of the
lath and paper shall comply with ASTM C 1063. Please specify the
proper type of lath and the specific attachment to the structure.
Response- Cement plaster and lath has been revised to be in compliance with
ASTM C 926 and ASTM C 1063. See A1.
Item 2 - A galvanized or corrosion resistant weep screed with a minimum vertical
attachment flange of 3 '/2 inches is required. The weather resistant barrier
shall lap the weep screed. The screed is located at the foundation plate.
Refer to FBC 2512.1.2. Provide detail.
Response- A weep screed has been provided at the foundation plate. See A2.
Item 3 - Provide a 6 inch tennite inspection space between the exterior wall
covering and the final earth grade per FBC 1403.8. A 4 inch space is
required at concrete slabs unless the area under the slabs is tennite
treated. See the exceptions under 1403.8. Please correct details and
building elevations.
Response- A 6 inch termite inspection space has been provided. See A3.
Item 4- Specify washer size for embedded bolts.
Response- Embedded bolts are to have a 1/8" x 2" diameter washer. See A4 on
sheets 3 and 4.
