Open to the public. Move building from 317 Oak Ave. to 1101 Palmetto Ave Replace wood fence with vinyl fence Construct garage and walkway Install French doors and wood deck Renew C of A for wooden fence and windows Replace roof with tan roof rd's items for discussion MINUTES HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD MEETING October 9, 2003 6:00 PM CITY COMMISSION CHAMBERS CITY HALL, SANFORD, FLORIDA MEMBERS PRESENT Barbara Farrell Rey Sylvester Denny Gibbs Maria Shreve Alec Then Stephanie Powers Tom Goodman Leslie Stevens Steve Myers STAFF PRESENT Antonia Gerli Jo -Ann Johnson The meeting was called to order at 6:1 IPM Item 3 — Approval of minutes from September 11, 2003 Ms. Shreve moved to approve. Ms. Farrell seconded. Motion carried 9 -0. Item 4 — Election of Chairman for remainder of 2003 Mr. Then made a motion for Mr. Sylvester to complete the 2003 year. Ms. Shreve seconded. Motion carried 9 -0. Item 5 — Applications for Certificates of Appropriateness — Commercial District Item 5a — 116 Park Ave., Heather Moore, agent for Rob Hawkins, owner and applicant, Maria Shreve representing for applicant, correct address should be referenced as 118 Park Ave. Ms Farrell made a motion to approve with amendments as follows: signs, coachlight to be resubmitted with design detail, paint colors to be submitted to Ms. Gerli for approval, and amending door to 12 panel rather than 3 panel. Mr. Goodman seconded. Motion carried 8- 0(Shreve recused). Item 6 — Applications for Certificate of Appropriateness — Residential District Item 6a — 911 Park Ave., Bruce Andersen, representing owner, YAPA Investments. Mr. Andersen requested application be continued to November 13 meeting. Item 6b — 1105 Myrtle Ave., no applicant present Historic Preservation Board October 9, 2003 Page 2 Add on item for discussion — Mr. Stairs requesting input from the board regarding construction of an accessory structure 208 Sanford Ave. Minor Reviews Six Month Reviews 317 Oak Ave., owners need to be informed regarding maintenance and repairs to stop the building from further deterioration since relocation of the structure was not viable. Board Members Items for Discussion Ms. Stevens, PICO building declining, plants growing from building. Owners /code enforcement needs to be notified. Can owner be contacted regarding protection of 911 Park Ave. Roof is open, needs to be covered. Ms. Powers, can appeal instructions be added to backs of applications. Mr. Myers, can subject of fees and fines be added to next workshop? There being no further business, meeting adjourned at 7:18
