Item 1 — Call to Order - the meeting was called to order at 5:06 p.m.
Item 2 — Roll Call
Item 3 — Approval of Minutes
Mr. Then asked for the correction to item 4a2, it should read 6 inch pressure treated boards.
Ms. Shreve asked for the correction to the Boards Members comments, the comments should read,
Mr. Myers commented that the metal door on the 300 block of Magnolia is still there.
Ms. Gibbs made the motion to approve as amended. Ms. Shreve seconded.
Motion carried 6 -0.
Item 4 — Applications for Certificates of Appropriateness — Residential District
Item 4A — 408 W. 9 t " St., Richard Clemons, owner and applicant is requesting approval for
aluminum window replacement. Work has already been completed.
Ms. Gibbs made the motion to approve. Ms. Shreve seconded. Motion carried 6 -0.
Ms. Farrell entered.
Ms. Stevens exited.
Item 4B — 808 Magnolia Ave., Jim Ermisch, owner and applicant is requesting approval for window
replacement. The windows are wood and aluminum. The work has already been completed.
Mr. Then made the motion to deny based on non - compliance with Schedule S. Ms. Gibbs seconded.
Motion carried 5 -1 (Powers).

Item 4C — 1005 Palmetto Ave., Pamela Hendricks, owner and applicant is requesting conceptual
approval for a new house at this location.
Ms. Gibbs made the motion to approve in concept. Ms. Shreve seconded.
Motion carried 6 -0.
Item 4D — 1020 Elm Ave., Sally and Jason Oyler owners, Mr. Oyler is requesting approval from the
board for a 6 ft. high wood fence, to be located 3 ft. inside the property line.
Ms. Shreve made the motion to approve as presented. Ms. Farrell seconded.
Motion carried 6 -0.
Item 4E — 301 W 7 St., Allen Nettles, project manager and applicant for the Seminole County
School Board presented the board with an application to demolish the "auxiliary storage building"
also known as the "cafeteria" building located at this site.
Mr. Then made the motion to continue this item until the June meeting so information can be
obtained to provide additional history of the building and the criteria required by Schedule S for
demolition requests. Ms. Farrell seconded. Motion carried 6 -0.
Item 4F — 408 Palmetto Ave., - application withdrawn.
Item 5 - Minor Reviews
Ms. Shreve questioned whether or not permits had been pulled for 911 Park Avenue? Is the building
being secured?
Item 6 — Six Month Reviews
Item 7 — Chairman and Board Member's items for discussion:
Ms. Powers — any news on the Imperial Palace.
Mr. Then — perhaps a subcommittee or Ms. Gerli could look into insurance companies and rates as
applicable to older houses and their requirements for older structures. He also questioned if it would
be possible to have a code enforcement presence at the meetings.
Ms. Gibbs — brought up issue of the Palmetto Ave. being zoned commercial and is it possible to have
it re- zoned. She also questioned 4 and Sanford, Exact Plumbing is the business at that location, site
is very unappealing, the trucks and trailers are hazardous to traffic.
Ms. Shreve — what is the code regarding fences. Also wanted to know about the house on Palmetto
and 12 C of A obtained? It needs code enforcement attention. Restaurant at 2nd and Oak — has a
backlit sign. And the Children's Theatre on Park and 2nd St. has installed incandescent lighting. The
house at 911 Oak, the porch has not been changed.
Mr. Myers — the old school house at 422 Palmetto Ave., C of A for painting, windows, and doors.
