Minor Reviews 7. 6 -month Reviews ertificates of Appropriateness - Residential District Final review of garage siding, door and windows. Apply muntins to existing windows on house. Replace 12 windows Replace aluminum windows with vinyl windows 214 S. Palmetto Ave. 211 E. 1 st Street 301 W. 7 th Street 1105 S. Oak Ave. 610 S. Palmetto Ave. 400 S. Palmetto Ave. 619 S. Palmetto Ave. Demolish Buildings; Construct 8 townhouses with offices. Remove vitrolite siding to restore original brick walls. Demolish building; Construct 16' X 24' storage shed. Install stained glass in front door. Open front porch; reframe and rescreen rear porch Replace doors and window; Restore pillars to original size Demolish exterior stairs, rear porch and balcony; Construct rear addition; Replace windows; Remove chimney. 8. MINUTES HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD MEETING DECEMBER 9, 2004 6:00 PM CITY COMMISSION CHAMBERS CITY HALL, SANFORD, FLORIDA Members Present Alex Then Steve Myers Maria Shreve Barbara Farrell Members Absent Denny Gibbs Stephanie Powers Staff Present Antonia Gerli — Senior Planner Jo -Ann Johnson — Secretary Item 2 — Call to Order — the meeting was called to order at 5:06 p.m Item 3 - Approval of Minutes for the October 14, 2004 meeting. Mr. Then made the motion to approve as submitted. Ms. Shreve seconded the motion. Motion carried 4 -0. Item 4 - Applications for Certificates of Appropriateness - Commercial Item 4A - 111 -113 E 1s t Street, Tom Hutchison, 1598 Stone Trail, Enterprise, agent for owner is requesting approval to add a second storefront entrance and a door facing the alley. Ms. Farrell made the motion to approve amending finish of solid wall area to be sand stucco finish. Ms. Shreve seconded motion. Motion carried 4 -0. Item 5 - Applications for Certificates of Appropriateness - Residential District Item 5A - 1018 Oak Avenue, no applicant present. Item 5B - 1000 Park Avenue, Barbara Singer, P O Box 2282, Orlando, she is the property owner and is requesting approval for replacement of 12 wood windows on the rear of the building. Work has already been done, replacement windows are aluminum. Mr. Then made the motion to deny based on incompatibility with Schedule S of the LDR and the replacements were not wood, and it was not proven to need replacement. Ms. Shreve seconded the motion. Motion carried 4 -0. Historic Preservation Board December 9, 2004 Page 2 Item 5C — 300 W 12 Street, Ron Russi, 340 Plantation Club Dr, Debary, is requesting approval for window replacement. Aluminum windows were removed and vinyl windows have been installed. Owner requested the hearing be postponed until January meeting. 6. Minor Reviews 7. 6 -month Reviews 8. Chairman and Board's items for discussion Mr. Myers, please schedule a 30 minute work session to proceed the next meeting. 422 Palmetto Avenue still needs code enforcement attention for paint and embellishments. Mr. Then, 1020 Elm Avenue, new window on south side? 511 or 513 Magnolia Avenue, siding, windows have been removed, being replaced? Corrugated metal roofing allowed? Request that code enforcement call him regarding the complaint. Ms. Shreve, 700 Park Avenue, porch addition behind PVC fence neither of which was approved. 300 Oak Avenue, can they clean up jobsite? 9. Adjournment —there being no further business the regular meeting was adjourned 6:45 p.m.
