Item 2 Call to Order — the meeting was called to order at 5:11 p.m.
Item 3 Approval of Minutes for the February 10, 2005 meeting.
Ms. Powers made the motion to approve.
Ms. Gibbs seconded the motion.
Motion carried 3 -0.
Item 4 - Applications for Certificate of Appropriateness - Commercial District
Item 4A 205 E. 1 st Street, Yvette Comeau, is requesting approval for a outdoor sandwich board
sign approximately 2 feet wide x 3 feet high and approval for outdoor display of book
racks, tables and chairs.
Ms. Gibbs made the motion to approve as long as pedestrian traffic is not impeded.
Ms. Powers seconded the motion.
Motion carried 3 -0.
Item 4B 120 S. Park Avenue, Jennifer Evans is requesting approval of 5 window signs and 1 pole
sign.
Ms. Powers made the motion to approve the window signs facing 2nd Street and Park
Avenue with the stipulation that the signs should not exceed 25% of window area and
should match. The pole sign, both electric and sign face should be fixed.
Ms. Gibbs seconded the motion.
Motion carried 3 -0.
Item 5 - Applications for Certificates of Appropriateness - Residential District
Item 5A 417 W. 2nd Street, Donald & Susan Frison, requesting approval to remove two 2nd story
vents on the front facade and replace with windows, and approval for previously installed
12 x 14 metal shed and wood deck at the rear of the house.
Item 5A -1 - window replacement.
Ms. Powers made the motion to approve two 38 x 32 hopper style windows, similar to

existing single light window, with the stipulation that the owners keep vents for future
sale of the property.
Ms. Gibbs seconded the motion.
Motion carried 3 -0.
Item 5A -2 — 12 x 14 aluminum shed and wood deck.
Ms. Gibbs made the motion to approve as submitted.
Ms. Powers seconded the motion.
Motion carried 3 -0.
Item 511 515 Magnolia Avneue, Michael Hostnick is requesting approval to replace 6 rotten
wood windows and 1 aluminum window with double hung 1/1 wood sash windows.
Ms. Gibbs made the motion to approve with the condition that the window sizes will
remain the same and that the window surround and trim will be as original profile of the
house, dimensions of the frame to be provided to Ms. Gerli for approval.
Ms. Powers seconded the motion.
Motion carried 3 -0.
Item 5C 1104 Elm Avenue, Merrill Ladika is requesting final approval on house modifications
and to build a garage.
Item 5C -1 house modifications.
Ms. Gibbs made the motion to approve the changes to the house as presented.
Ms. Powers seconded the motion.
Motion carried 3 -0.
Item 5C -2 build garage.
Ms Gibbs made the motion to approve as presented.
Ms. Powers seconded the motion.
Motion carried 3 -0.
Item 5D 911 Park Avenue, Jo -Anne Berens and Jack Dickson are asking approval for hardiboard
as underskirting.
Ms. Gibbs made the motion to approve use of hardiboard for undercroft in 919 Oak
Avenue and 911 Park Avenue, recessed 6 inches or behind piers, painted dark color so
it is not visible from the street
Ms. Powers seconded the motion.
Motion carried 3 -0.
Item 5E 919 Oak Avenue, Owners, Theresa Collins and Richard, represented by Jo -Anne Berens
and Jack Dickson. They are requesting approval to replace the 10 street porch door,
move the existing lo Street door to the 2nd floor porch, approval for design and
materials for upper front porch railing, use of hardiboard in undercroft.

Item 5E1 — upper front porch railing.
Ms. Gibbs made the motion to approve the sample railing presented by the applicants,
railing spacing design to Ms. Gerli. Cap rail will be chamfered to match what is
consistent within the district.
Ms. Powers seconded the motion.
Motion carried 3 -0.
Item 5E2 — 2nd story front porch and 10 street side porch doors.
Ms. Gibbs made the motion to approve the single light doors (two options on file in Ms.
Gerli's office) in the front 2nd story or 10th Street. Front door will remain.
Hardiboard underskirting approved in item 5D.
