Palmetto Avenue The applicant would like to obtain final approval for new doors and a facade window on the south elevation. Page 2 of 2 MINUTES HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD MEETING MARCH 22, 2007 5:30 PM CITY COMMISSION CHAMBERS CITY HALL, SANFORD, FLORIDA Members Present Hank Dieckhaus Kurt Ewen Nancy Lord Denny Gibbs Rick Compton Members Absent Staff Present Christine Dalton — Community Planner JoAnn Johnson — Secretary Call to Order - the meeting was called to order at 5:35 p.m. Roll Call Approval of Minutes Ms. Lord made the motion to approve. Mr. Compton seconded the motion. Motion carried 4 -0. Public Meetings PM -1 Address: 113 S. Palmetto Avenue Property Owner: Metro Orlando Affordable Housing Inc Representative: Robin Butler Request: Final approval for new doors and a facade window to close an opening on the south elevation. 5:45 Denny Gibbs entered meeting. New Doors: Mr. Dieckhaus made the motion to approve the replacement doors. Ms. Lord seconded the motion. Motion carried 5 -0. Facade Window: Ms. Lord made the motion for conceptual approval two wooden louvered shutters, to be presented to the board with dimensions and drawings. Mr. Dieckhaus seconded the motion. Motion carried 5 -0. 6:00 Denny Gibbs exited meeting. Historic Preservation Board March 22, 2007 Page 2 PM -2 Address: 313 S. Palmetto Avenue Property Owners: Robert & Linda Kuhn Request: Final approval an addition at the rear of the existing structure. PM -2 Ms. Lord made the motion to waive the waiting period requirement the demo of the existing additions. Mr. Dieckhaus seconded the motion. Motion carried 4 -0. Mr. Dieckhaus made the motion for final approval, allowing the use of Hardieboard that matches the profile of the existing siding only; to be approved by staff approval on submitted plans. Ms. Lord seconded the motion. Motion carried 4 -0. Citizen Participation Kim House of Riverhouse Pottery, 118 Palmetto Avenue, addressed the board with her concept of an artisan village she would like to incorporate into the south portion of her property. Staff Reports: Christine: Hopper Academy — working with Commissioner Woodruff to get Head Start there. Presentation to the Board: "What Every Board Member Needs to Know ". Minor Review 6 Month Review Chairman and Board's Items for Discussion Ms. Lord — S- codes, page 24, 3r bullet from the top, we need to make sure plans are compliant with this point. Adjournment There being no further business, the meeting adjourned at 7:09 p.m.
