Chairman and Board Items for Discussion Kurt Ewen, chairman of the Historic Preservation board has resigned. A new chairman and vice - chairman must be assigned. Adjournment ADVICE TO THE PUBLIC. Mr. Dieckhaus made the motion to approve with corrections to item PM -2; request is for replacement of vinyl windows. Mr. Yebba seconded the motion. Motion carried 5 -0. 800 Park Avenue City of Sanford New design of Park on Park. Robert Beall Mr. Beall has added a light weight aluminum fence to the request. Mr. Dieckhaus made the motion to approve the request with fiberglass shingles as the approved roofing materials rather than metal roofing. Mr. Yebba seconded the motion. Motion carried 5 -0. PM -2 Address: 604 Elm Avenue Property Owners: Alvan Barber Request: Changes to front entry and steps. Mr. Dieckhaus made the motion to approve the request. Mr. Yebba seconded the motion. Motion carried 5 -0. Minutes September 24, 2008 Page 2 PM -3 Address: 101 E. IO' Street Property Owners: Wayne Deming Request: Change windows on north, east and south facades. Mr. Dieckhaus made the motion to approve the request, allowing applicant to work with staff on an architectural feature on the left side of the front door such as a false window or window trim with closed shutters. Steve Chusmir seconded the motion. Motion carried 5 -0. PM -4 Address: 111 W. 6 th Street Property Owners: Jane Wright Request: Changes to rear entry. Mr. Dieckhaus made the motion to approve the request. Steve Chusmir seconded the motion Motion Carried 5 -0. PM -5 Address: 309 W. 5 th Street Property Owners: William Williamson and Kevin Best Request: changes to the front entry stairs and to add stained glass to the entry door. Request was continued to the October meeting. PM -6 Address: 307 W. 3r Street Property Owners: James L. Dunn Request: New building on the south end of the site. Mr. Dieckhaus made the motion to approve. Mr. Yebba seconded the motion. Motion carried 5 -0. PM -7 Address: Magnolia Square Property Owners: City of Sanford Representative: Barbi Bauman Request: installation of a shade structure in the square. Mr. Dieckhaus made the motion to approve Mr. Yebba seconded the motion Motion carried 5 -0. PM -8 Address: 1101 Park Avenue Property Owners: Ross Linville Request: Extend the front porch, remove the columns and install vinyl shutters. Mr. Dieckhaus made the motion to approve the removal of the columns, approve the pavers and walkway, approve the replacement of the missing shutters with like vinyl shutters, all painted to match, and to deny the porch extension. Mr. Dieckhaus made the motion to approve the use of a two over two window on the north elevation with matching 2'4" size noted for other windows on plans. Steve Chusmir seconded the motion. Motion carried 5 -0. PM -10 Address: 1214 Myrtle Avenue Property Owners: Delton Chen Request: construct a detached garage Recusal: Jonathan Houston Steve Chusmir made the motion to approve. Mr. Yebba seconded the motion. Motion Carried 3 -0.
