PM -1 Hold a Public Meeting to consider a Certificate of Appropriateness application for the property
located at 317 S. Oak Avenue. The applicant would like to obtain final approval for a porch entry
door.

PM -2 Hold a Public Meeting to consider a Certificate of Appropriateness application for a Variance to
Schedule S for the property located at 317 S. Oak Avenue. The applicant would like to obtain
final approval to enclose the front porch with screening.

Approval of the minutes from January 28, 2009
Mr. Chusmir made the motion to approve the minutes.
Mr. Yebba seconded the motion.
Motion carried 3 -0.
PM -1 Address: 317 Oak Avenue
Property Owner: First Presbyterian Church
Request: Final approval for a porch entry door.
Representative: Dennis Aagaard
Mr. Chusmir made the motion to approve the request, approval for presented options 1 and
3 only.
Mr. Yebba seconded the motion.
Motion approved 3 -0.

Request: Variance to enclose porch with screen.
Representative: Dennis Aagaard
Mr. Chusmir made the motion to deny the request based on the finding that the proposed
change is not consistent with the purpose and intent of Schedule S.
Mr. Yebba seconded the motion.
Motion carried 3 -0.

Request: Approval to reduce the window opening size on the primary facade.

Mr. Dieckhaus recused himself — the applicant is his son.
Mr. Yebba made the motion to approve a seven percent reduction in the window opening,
stucco to match and blend with existing, proposal #2 on submitted documents.
Mr. Chusmir seconded the motion.
Motion approved 2 -0.

Alex Then questioned the board on requirements for recusal.
Staff Reports /Training
Training and discussion of Schedule S changes will be moved to March.
Mark Hultin, Manager of Parks and Grounds Operations made a presentation on proposed changes to Coastline
Park. The changes are dependent on a grant proposal to the Land and Water Conservation Fund in the amount of
$200,000.
