Specifically, dimensional variances in the width of the two Sherwood Units . created a condition where the floor trusses require remedial work. You stated that the as built dimensions between the CMU walls was greater than that specified in our construction documents by as much as 4". As a result, the floor trusses do not bear adequately on the double ledgers. You contacted the truss engineer, who provided sealed remedial engineering for these trusses, to account for the as -built conditions. We enclose a copy of the October 9, 2012 remedial truss engineering by others. Due to the truss changes, alternate connections are required at the ends of the trusses. Simpson f UC410 hangers are acceptable for the connections of the modified trusses to the support framing. The above information is based on the assumption that all construction not specifically noted above is installed as per the Engineered plans. Please be advised that our representative did not perform a comprehensive audit at the site. The recommendations and remedial action described in this response apply to this building only.
