REGULAR MEETING
The City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, met in Regular Meeting on
Monday, June 24, 2019, at 7:00 PM, in the City Commission Chambers, City Hall, 300 North Park
Avenue, Sanford, Florida.

6) CONSENT AGENDA [Commission Memo 19-148]
A. Approve special event permit, alcohol permit, noise permit and street closures for
the `Belgian Independence Day' on Saturday, July 20, 2019.
B. Approve special event permit, alcohol permit and noise permit for `Trucks Gone
Wild' on Saturday, July 20, 2019.
C. Approve termination of the Interlocal Agreement as amended between Seminole
County and the City of Sanford for administration of the City's Community
Development Block Grant Program effective September 30, 2019. (WS 3C)
D. Approve the Municipal Economic Development Organizations (MEDO)
Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between cities of Casselberry, DeBary,
DeLand, Deltona, Lake Mary. Longwood, Orange City and Sanford for cooperation
in Economic Depevelopment activities and projects between municipalities and
counties in the region (WS 4B).

and June 5, 2019. [Commission Memo 19-153] Eric and Christie Merthie of 304
Sanora Boulevard came forward requesting additional time to rehabilitate the
structure.
Vice Mayor Woodruff moved to approve the order of condemnation allowing for a
(60) day time period, for the owner to provide a rehabilitation plan and pull permits, with the
expectation staff will work with the property owner so the building can be repaired, not
demolished. Seconded by Commissioner Wiggins and carried by vote of the Commission as

Mr. Bonaparte advised the next Citizen's Academy Class begins September 11,
2019.

Commissioner Austin invited everyone to a celebration for Seminole High School
State Championships Baseball team this Thursday, June 27`h at 5:30pm before the River Rats
Game. A Portion of the proceeds are going towards purchasing rings for the team.
Mayor Triplett has been asked to reassign a member to the Sanford Noise Abatement
Committee for the Sanford Airport. Mr. Amir Robinson has expressed interest.
Vice Mayor Woodruff moved to appoint Amir Robinson, to replace the vacant
position of Andrew VanGalle, for a term to expire September 30, 2020. Seconded by
Commissioner Austin and carried by vote of the Commission as follows:

Mayor Triplett said the Sanford Airport is having their first Budget Hearing on July

1, 2019. He is going to ask for additional funding for the Marketing Budget for the City. He asked
the Commissioners to please get with Mr. Bonaparte with a list of ideas for the airport to fund.
