HomeMy WebLinkAbout1464~ r-~ o ~ · iJ o · o ~>~o~4 ORDINANCE NO. 1464 i216 !850 Pz~Cr- SEMINOLE CO!j~TY F[,OR1D:~ AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, VACATING AND ABANDONING THAT' CERTAIN PARK SITUATED IN UPPLAND PARK SUBDIVISION AND LOCATED NORTH OF STATE ROAD 46-A AND WEST OF UPSALA ROAD: RESERVING THE USE OF SA~ UNTO THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA FOR UTILITY PURPOSES, PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the City Co'mmis!Sion of the City of Sanford, Florida on February 12, 1979 to consider vacating and abandoning that certain park situated in Uppland P~ark Subdivision and specifically described hereinafter; and WHEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Commission that the park hereinafter described is not suitable to meet the needs and requirements of the City Park System and should tlherefore be vacated and abandoned. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: SECTION L.~ That certain park situated in Uppland Park Subdivision described as follows: Begin at the Southwest corner of Lot 51, NEW UPSALA, run thence North 00o11'40'' West 165.0 feet to Point of Beginning; thence run East 176.35 feet; thence SoBth 656.65 feet; thence West 174.12 feet; thence North 11 40" West Point of Beginning, UPLAND PARK, 00 ' to according to the Plat thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 20, page 5, of the Public Records of Seminole County, 'Florida. be and the same is hereby vacated and, abandoned as a public park in the City of Sanford0 Florida, and the City does hereby disclaim for itself and the public all interest therein, reserving the use of said park unto the City of Sanford, Florida for utility purposes. SECTION 2: If any section or portion of a section of this ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force or effect of any other section or part of this ordinance "~-' :s...
