SEMINOLE CCzUNTY
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
VACATING AND ABAI~DONING THAT CERTAIN PARK
LYING BETWEEN COUNTRY CLUB DRIVE AND THE
ABANDONED SEABOARD COAST LINE RAILROAD RIGHT-
OF'WAY AND BET~EN 20TH STREET AND COUNTRY
CLUB CIRCLE, AND AS DELINEATED IN A PLAT OF
COUNTRY CLUB MANOR, UNIT 1, ACCORDING TO THE
PLAT THEREOF, AS RECORDED IN PLAT BOOK 11,
PAGE 35, OF THE PUBLIC RECORDS OF SEMINOLE
COUNTY, FLORIDA, PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY,
CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, a public hearing was held by the City Commission
of the City of,Sanford, Florida on June 11, 1979 to consider vacating
and abandoning that certain park situated between Country Club Drive
and the abandoned Seaboard Coastline Railroad right-of-way and between
20th Street and Country Club Circle in the City of Sanford, Florida,
said park being further and specifically described hereinafter, land
%,~[IEREAS, it is the opinion of the City Commission ~that the
park hereinafter described is not suitable to meet the needs and
requirements of the City Park System and should therefore be vacated
and abandoned.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That certain park situated in and delineated
in that certain Plat of Country Club Manor Unit 1, according to the Plat
thereof, as recorded in Plat Book 11, page 35, of the Public Records of
Seminole County, Florida, and further described as being between Country
Club Drive and the abandoned Seaboard Coastline Railroad right-of-way
and between 20th Street and Country Club Circle, be and the same is
hereby vacated and abandoned as a public park in the City of Sanford,
Florida and the City does hereby disclaim for itself and the p~bliC
, ~
all interest therein.
'SEC'TION 2: If anysection or portion of a section of this
ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall
not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force oz~ffect ofa~
other part or section of this ordinance.
SECTION 3: All ordinances or parts of ordinances in
conflict herewith be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4: This ordinance shall become effective
immediately upon its passage and adoption.
