AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 14, THE CODE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA, 1954, AS AMENDED, SAID CHAPTER
PROVIDING FOR THE ISSUANCE OF OCCUPATIONAL
LICENSES, SAID AMENDMENT RE-ENACTING SAID
CLASSIFICATIONS AND FEES THEREFOR AND ADOPTING
PROVISIONS OF CI~APTER 205, FLORIDA STATUTES.
BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1. That Chapter 14, The Code of the City of Sanford,
Florida, 1954, as amended, relating to occupational licenses, be and the
same is hereby amended to read as follows:
"Sec. 14~-1. Re-enacted.
Sec. 14-2. Re-enacted.
Sec. 14-3. Term.
Except as otherwise provided, no license ~equired by
this chapter shall be issued for more than one year, except
when issued for a half year, day, month or quarter, as the
case may be. All licenses shall be issued beginning Septem-
ber first of each year and shall be due and payable on
October first of each year and shall expire on September
thirtieth of the succeeding year. Those licenses not renewed
by October first shall be considered delinquent and subject
to a delinquency penalty of ten percent for the month of
October plus an additional five percent penalty for each
month of delinquency thereafter until paid; provided that the
total delinquency penalty shall not exceed twenty-five percent
of the occupational license fee for the delinquent establishment.
Any person engaging in or managing any business, occupation
or professional without first obtaining a local occupational
license shall be subject to a penalty of twenty-five percent
of the license determined to be due in addition to other
penalties provided hereinafter.
Sec. 14-4. Application of License - Transfer.
Licenses shall be good only for the particular business')iand
at the particular place of business which shall be named there-
in and for the person to whom issued. Licenses may be trans-
ferred to a new owner when there is a bona fide sale of the
business upon application to the tax collector and payment of a
transfer fee of three dollars and presentation of evidence of the
sale and the original license. Upon written request and pre-
sentation of the original license, any license may be trans-
ferred from one location to another location upon payment of
a transfer fee of three dollars.

SECTION 2. This ordinance is enacted as required by and pursuant to
the provisions of Chapter 205, Florida Statutes, and the appropriate officials
of the City of Sanford are directed to comply with all provisions hereof in
implementation hereof.
SECTION 3. All ordinances or parts of ordinances in conflict here-
with be and the same are hereby repealed.
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall become effective immediately
upon its passage and adopted.
