1. CDOM Thanksgiving Outreach: Event details were discussed and it was determined no
City services would be required. The event was denied as a special event.
2. 2020 Sanford Food Truck Fiesta: Most Food Fiesta events have additional themes and
details added to the events which required staff discussion with the applicant Dustin
Gioertz determined how to move forward with Food Truck event applications. Further
discussion with the applicant is to follow to determine if events should be considered on
a monthly basis. The following City services will be required for Food Truck Fiesta with
1
normal footprint and hours: two Parks staff for trash maintenance from 5 —10 pm, one
dumpster,150 chairs and one spider box to be located at the southeaster corner of
Palmetto Avenue and 2nd Street. Applicant was notified of the increase in City labor cost
effective 10/1/19 and of the pending pay increase in Police staff.
3. Alive After 5: Celery City is providing general and liquor liability insurance with City
named as additional insured. Jim Gantt suggest the applicant request the same for the
Welcome Center. Staff requested insurance certificates be provided from "out of the
normal" type vendors (i.e. pony rides, rock walls, bounce houses). Two Police staff will
use police vehicles for road closures and security from 3 — 8 pm, and a third police
officer will provided additional security from 4:30 — 8:30 pm. The applicant inquired
about the use of private security, but Police Deparment requires police staff to maintain
road closures. The applicant confirmed the event will have a couple of food vendors,
beer carrt, marketing, information and entertainment in Magnolia Square. The event
generates revenue for the Welcome Center.
