St. Johns River Festival of theArtr.: 9`' Annual art festival; Street closures will include 15C Street, from S. Sanford Avenue to S. Myrtle Avenue, Palmetto Avenue, from Commercial Street to 2°`' Street; Magnolia Avenue, from 1S1 Street to 2"`' Street; Park Avenue, from Commercial to 2nd Street; and Oak Street, from Commerical to 2"`' Street from 1 pm, Friday, May 1" through 11 pm through Sunday, May 3 d. City services will include two parks staff to maintain trash recepticals in the event space; 80 chairs, 200 trash bags, 50 trash recepticals, two dumpsters; five spider boxes. Jennifer Brooks will consult with Waste Pro regarding alternative recepticals for recyclables. City Staff will be onsite for set-up on Friday, from 1 — 5 PM. Police Department has supplied a preliminary estimate of cost and applicant is requesting the estimate be reviewed for cost reduction. Applicant is also seeking resolution to solicitors at the event harassing festival guests. Sgt. Justiniano explained there isn't much they can do at a public event. Jim Gantt confirmed insurance is being supplied by the applicant. 2. Touch A-Tnuck; No city costs; Public Works staff will drop barricades off for placement by police staff. 3. Riin for God SK; The proceeds from the race are used for the sponsorship of mission trips. The applicant request a spider box, road closures and street barricades. 4. Shred Fest; Representative was not present. Jennifer Brooks was unsuccessful reaching the applicant via phone. She will reach out to the applicant regarding the need for police presence at the event. 5. Race to Cure: Phone call to applicant. The applicant plans survivor walk after the 5K. Jennifer suggested using the sidewalk to hold the walk simultaneously with the run. Start line will be just west of the park/playground. First Street should be opened no later than 8 Alii. Lindsay confirmed set-up at 4 ANI. Race starts at 7 N1. 6. Trucks Gone Wlild: The applicant was not present. Discussion about the upcoming event included establishing a set of Best Practice Guidelines for the truck pull events. Ideas included rules for the pit; cooler checks; and the use of different colored bands to designate participants. Staff Reports/Discussion: 1. National Night Out: There was no one for discussion of the event.
