AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, AMENDING
ORDINANCE NO. 3079OF SAID CITY; SAID ORDINANCE BEING THE
COMPREHENSIVE PLAN; AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND USE MAP
DESIGNATION OF APPROXIMATELY10+ ACRES OF PROPERTY LYING
BETWEEN AMERICANA BOULEVARD AND LAKE MARY BOULEVARD
AND BETWEEN U.S. HWY. 17-92AND ROLLING HILLS DR. FROM HIGH
DENSITY RESIDENTIAL TO GENERAL COMMERCIAL; PROVIDING FOR
SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE.
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford's Planning and Zoning Commission, as the City's
local planning agency, held a public hearing on March 2, 2000, to consider amending the
Future Land Use Map designation from High Density Residential to General Commercial;
and
WHEREAS, the City Commission as the City's governing body, held a public
hearing on April 24, 2000, to consider amending the Future Land Use Map designation
from High Density Residential to General Commercial; and
WHEREAS, the City of Sanford has complied with requirements and procedures to
amend adopted comprehensive plans as set forth in Florida Statutes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ENACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF
SANFORD, FLORIDA:
SECTION 1: That portion of the Future Land Use Plan Element referenced as the
Future Land Use Map is hereby amended by changing the designation of approximately
10_+ acres of the property lying between Americana Blvd. and Lake Mary Boulevard and
between U.S. Hwy. 17-92 and Rolling Hills Dr., from High Density Residential to General
Commercial. Said property being more specifically described as follows:
SEE EXHIBIT "A" ATTACHED.
A copy of the amendment to the Future Land Use Map is attached hereto and by this
reference incorporated herein as Exhibit "B" and hereby adopted pursuant to Florida
Statutes.
SECTION 2: SEVERABILITY.

be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional, said
determination shall not be held to invalidate or impair the validity, force, or effect of any
other section, sentence, phrase, word, or portion of this Ordinance not otherwise
determined to be invalid, unlawful, or unconstitutional.
SECTION 3: CONFLICTS. All ordinances or resolutions or parts of ordinances or
resolutions in conflict herewith are hereby repealed to the extent of any conflict.
SECTION 4: EFFECTIVE DATE. The effective date of this Ordinance shall be
thirty-one (31) days after its date of adoption. If challenged within thirty (30) days after
adoption, this Ordinance shall not become effective until the state land planning agency
or the Administration Commission, respectively, issues a final order determining this
Ordinance in compliance with Chapter 163, Part II, Florida Statutes.
