HomeMy WebLinkAbout3360 ORDINANCE NO. 3360 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, MAKING APPROPRIATIONS FOR THE CITY OF SANFORD, . FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBERI~' 1, 1997 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 199~ PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, CONFLICTS AND EFFECTIVE DATE. WHEREAS, the City Manager has prepared and submitted a budget of revenues and exlDenditures for the City.~f Sanford, Florida, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 19g7, and ending September 30, 1998, in accordance with the Charter of the City of Sanford, Florida, and upon consideration thereof, said budget of revenues and expenditures was adopted and approved as the budget of said City for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1997, and ending September 30, 1998; and WHEREAS, the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, is of the opinion that the several items of expenditures for said fiscal year beginning October 1, 1997, and ending September 30, 1998, are reasonable, necessary and proper for the administration of the affairs of said City and proper conduct of said City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE ZT ~NACTED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: SECTION 1: That said budget of revenues and expenditures of said City of Sanford, Florida, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1997, and exuding September 30, 1998, approved by Resolution of the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, on the 22nd day of September, 1997 A.D., a copy of which is attached hereto and hereby made a part of this Ordinance, be and the same is hereby ratified, i~onfirmed, accepted and adopted. SECTION 2: That the said ~stimates of expenditures, be and they are hereby established and fized as appropriations from the revenues to be derived by said City of Sanford, [lorida, from taxes to be levied and collected, from all other sources, for the various purposes as set forth in said estimates for the said period beginning October 1, 1997, and ending September 30, 1998. SECTION 3: If any section or portion of a section of this Ordinance proves to be invalid, unlawful or unconstitutional, it shall not be held to impair the validity, force or effect of any other section or part of this Ordinance. SECTION 4: That all Ordinances or parts of Ordinances in conflict herewith be and the same are hereby revoked. SECTION 5: That this Ordinance shall become effective October 1, 1997. ' ~s~the pity Clerk~City of Sanford, Florida F: \FILES\97\SA~FORD\ORD\BUDGET :NAH --2-- Ordinance No, 3360 RESOLUTION N0.1763 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, ADOPTING A BUDGET OF REVENUES AND EXPENDITURES FOR THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA, FOR THE FISCAL YEAR BEGINNING OCTOBER 1, 1997 AND ENDING SEPTEMBER 30, 1998, AND CAPITAL BUDGET. WHEREAS, .in accordance with Article V of the revised Charter, of the City of Sanford, Florida, the City Manager Of the City of Sanford, Florida, has made and submitted to the City Commission of the City of Sanford, Florida, an estimate for budget of revenues and expenditures of the City of Sanford, Florida, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1997, and ending September 30, 1998, and a Capital Budget, such estimates or budget having been made with particular application to the various departments of the City, a true copy of which is hereto attached and by reference made a part of this Resolution; and WHEREAS, each and every item contained and set forth in said budgets prepared by the City Manager has been carefully considered by this Commission; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PEOPLE OF THE CITY OF SANFORD, FLORIDA: Section 1: That said budget, as prepared and submitted by the City Manager to the City Commission, be and the same is hereby adopted as the budget for the City of Sanford, Florida, for the fiscal year beginning October 1, 1997, and ending September 30, 1998; and the Capital Budget as prepared and submitted by the City Manager to the City Commission, be and the same is hereby adopted. Section 2: That upon collection of any revenues of said City, the Finance Director shall allocate from each dollar collected and received, the several amounts to the respective funds for purposes for which the same are hereby authorized and approved. Section 3: This Resolution shall become effective as of the first day of October, 1997.
