Call o• d- r and Roll Call The meeting was called to order at 12:00 p.m. by the Chairman, Darrel Presley. The following members were present: Bill Erwin, John Dovydaitis, Bill Elliott, and John LaBree. Also in attendance was Scott Christiansen, the Plan Attorney, the claimant, Mr. Brandon Worrall, and his attorney, Mr. Paul Kelly. 2. Review Medical Information and Disability ARRlication The Chairman began by announcing that the continuation of the disability hearing today was due to the Boards request to review additional medical records from Dr. Martinez. Because Trustees Bill Eriwn and John LaBree were not at the initial hearing on December 15, 2014, Scott Christiansen opened the meeting by reviewing the disability processes and procedures with everyone. He went on to review the criteria detailed in the Pension Plan Ordinance regarding in-line of duty disabilities and benefits allowed it the Ordinance for officers who have been subject to intentional acts of violence. The circumstances surrounding the details of the disability suffered by Mr. Worrall, and details from some of the medical records that were collected, were reviewed by his attorney, Mr. Paul Kelly. Mr. Kelly then reviewed the three recent letters from Dr. Martinez providing updates on Mr. Worrall's medical condition and MMI status. A motion was made by John Dovydaitis to approve of the in -line -of -duty disability with aggravated circumstances (80% of AFC) effective May 7, 2015. Seconded by Bill Erwin, the motion carried unanimously. Scott will prepare the Disability Order for execution by the Chairman and the Plan Administrator will expedite the request for calculations from the Actuary.
