There are no respective comments for the contractors to pick up. As of this date we do not have any contractors on
board. You as contact person listed can forward them my revised email to you today, basically indicating that we need a
landlord contractor first for the demo and prep work. Then we need the build out contractor.. Each will need to
complete a building permit application and provide a documented scope of work and contract. Each contractor will be
given a separate set of plans. If the contractors have any questions they can call me.

Can you give me an update on my e-mail I sent you on 11-21-2018 at 1:39 PM regarding the above project indicating the
best route to follow would be to have your landlords contractor obtain a permit for their demo work, get it completed
and then have the main contractor perform and complete his or her work. In addition no revisions can be submitted
until after the main permit has been issued as per Deputy Building Official.

Had a second conversation with on the project. It appears from looking at the plans that the best route to follow would
be to have the landlord contractor complete his demo / prep work first and get a final inspection. Then the build out
contractor can do his work. Again we need applications completed from each contractor. I will be out of the office next
week for surgery. Dave Aldrich is our Building Official.

Update: The Building Official has advised me that we will process the main building contractors permit first. The land -
load contractor must submit a separate permit and five sets of build out plans for work they wish to do. This permit will
not be issued until the main contractor has finished all of their work. This procedure insures that we have a clear
understanding of what each contractor is performing. Please notify the land load of these requirements and have a good
thanksgiving.

PREFACE
An original roof framing plan is available for review, prepared by Haines, Gipson & Associates, dated
April 14, 2004, with revision #3, dated May 28, 2004. The roof framing plan identifies (2) two existing roof
top unit (RTU) locations within the proposed tenant space and are supported by 24KCS4 joists. These
existing RTU locations to be re -used for the (2) new replacement RTU's, with adapter curbs. A new third
RTU to be installed in an adjacent bay, which the roof framing plan identifies the existing joist as a 281<6
joists. Photographs from a site survey identifies supplemental angle framing, at the underside of the
metal roof deck, for RTU curb support, and appear to be 'original to the roof construction at the '24KCS"
joist locations. The existing joists are 6'-0" on centers.
The original structural drawings identify a Dead Load (DL) = 20 psf and a Roof Live Load (RLL) = 20 psf.
Therefore, the respective DL and RLL will be utilized for the existing joist design check to support the new
RTU weights.
Total existing roof load = (20+20) x 6' = 240 plf. (includes girder wt.)
Total existing roof load at joist (17.5+20) x 6' = 225 plf.
281<6 joist => Total Load = 280 plf. & Live Load 198 plf. (per New Millennium joist catalog)
24KCS4 => Moment capacity = 92.33 k -ft Shear capacity= 8400 lbs. (per New Millennium joist catalog)
RTU #1 weight = 1567 lbs. including curb:
Corner weights => A = 345 lbs. B = 266 lbs. C = 407 lbs. D = 549 lbs.
RTU's #2 & #3 weight = 2055 lbs. including existing curb and adapter curb:
(located at existing RTU locations)
Corner weights => A = 370 lbs. B = 514 lbs. C = 678 lbs. D = 493 lbs.

ROOFTOP UNIT CURB ATTACHMENT TO ROOF STRUCTURE
Roof Top Unit (RTU) curb to be fastened to structure (steel support
angles) with (3) 1/4" dia. self drilling screws (SDS) along short
dimension of curb and (5) 1/4" dia. SDS along long dimension of
curb, typical around perimeter of curb.
The design is based upon ITW Buildex 1/4" diameter self drilling
screws. Screws values listed in the ITW Buildex catalog are ultimate
values and will be reduced by 30% for allowable loads.
