JST %�fr,45� 2AA0 N e Q Q F e r�i TO I FOR 1 PROJECT CONTROL I/V e Y - « v(-/ vV . wv_ vv GENERAL NOTES Materials and construction methods for paving and storm drainage construction shall be in accordance with the Florida Department of Transportation Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction, 1977, or the latest revision thereof and supplemental specifications thereto. A. Pavement shall be constructed on 6" compacted sub-B,,9sE' (FLA. BE"A,e)/VG VALUE 50 PSI) 6" 1imerock base, 1" minimum Type I asphaltic concrete. The Contractor shall selectively clear and grub the site, and he shall consult with the Owner prior to removing trees which are not actually in the proposed paving areas or within 3' of the edge of pavement, except if required for safety reasons, in which case their removal shall be determined by the Owner, Engineer, and City Engineer. In addition, theContractor shall provide clearing as required for installation of utility and drainage facilities. All materials excavated shall be property of the O�,,ner• and shall be disposed of or suitable materials utilized in areas to be filled, as directed by the Owner and/or Engineer. Repair and replacement of all private and public property affected by this work shall be restored to a condition equal to or better than existed before commencing construction work, unless specifically exempted by the Plans. Cost to the incidental to other construction and no extra compensation to be allowed. Legal surveys, descriptions, easements, boundaries, topography, contours, cross-sections, lot lines, street right-of-way geometry, existing improve- ments and cultural information, and other horizontal and vertical land surveying information has been furnished to the Engineer by others, and the Engineer assumes no responsibility for their correctness or accuracy. The Engineer's work shown on the Plans has been prepared based on survey information provided by V. Kelly Smith, Land Surveyors, Sanford, Florida. The Contractor is directed to obtain a copy of the recorded plat for the location of lot corners. P.R.'''s sha'1 be provided the Contractor by the Owner For laying out this work and Contractor shall exercise care not to disturb these monuments. Should any monuments be disturbed during construc- tion by the Contractor, they shay: be replaced at his expense by a surveyor approved by the Owner. For identification in contractual agreements, this set of drawings is dated May 14, 1980. Any revisions thereafter will be noted and dated on the af- fected drawing or drawings. The location of all existing utilities shown on the Plans have been deter- mined frori the best information available, and are given for the conveni- ence of the Contractor. The Engineer assumes no responsibility for ac- curacy. Prior to the start of any construction activity, it shall be the Contractor's responsibility to notify the various utilities, and to make the necessary arrangements for the relocations of these utilities with the owner of the utility. The Contractor shall exerc,se caution when crossing an underground utility, whether shown on the Plan or located by the utility company. All utilities which interfere with the proposed construction shall be relocated by the respective utility companies, and the Contractor shall cooperate with them during relocation operations. Any delay or inconvenience caused the,Contractor by the relocation of the various utilities shall be incidental to the contract, and no extra compensation will be allowed. All site work within the City of Sanford right-of-way shall be constructed to City Specifications and subject to City inspection and approval. It is the intention of the Owner to save as many trees as possible on this site and utilize the natural landscaping whenever possible. Supplemental landscaping shall be provided by Owner. Al disturbed areas shall be sodded and/or grassed and !ruIched.
