Section 8A Wood doors °
' 8A.1 All exterior wood doors shall be 1 3/4 inch thick.solid core flush doors
equal to "C"label construction with gum skins on both sides. Other exterior

8A.2 All doors shall comply with NWMA Standards
8A.3 Interior doors shall be hollow core unless otherwise noted.

Section 9A Gypsum Wallboard (Drywall)
9A.1 Drywall shall be gypsum wallboard as manufactured by the National Gypsum
Company or equal. All applications on wood studs unless otherwise noted.
All joints to be taped, spackled and finished in a workmanlike manner _based
on the best quality trade standards. Wall surfaces to -be finished with a
medium textured sand finish; ceilings to be finished with a medium heavy
acoustical spray finish.
9A.2 Drywall on ceilings'of first floor apartments and on both sides of all party
walls and as otherwise noted on the drawings shall be 5/8" Firecode 'X' gypsum
wallboard nailed to studs as required to produce an approved 1 hour fire
rated assembly. All other drywall to be 1/2".
I 9A.3 Drywall in bathroom and toilet areas shall be Water Resistant type.
9A.4 Drywall shall be installed and finished in accordance with the manufacturers
specifications and recommendations for the rated assembly required, and all

facturer of the floor covering used and shall be water proof type made specifi-

room space requirements. Each air conditioning unit to be installed complete
with hinged access panel door with integral filter and grille as shown.
15A.2 Condensing units shall be mounted level on concrete pads on the ground.
Locations as shown on the drawings. Design layouts are based on a Donmark
dualcompressorsystem whereby two (2) air handling units operate on one
condensing unit. Condensing units to be housed in weathertight, rust and
corrosion resistant enclosures.
15A.3 Air handling units in Type 1 (1 bedroom apartments) shall be 18,000 BTU
cooling capacity with 5 KW electric strip heat and 18 CS cord ressor,
