I have spoken with City of Sanford Code officials and determined
the following: (Any official noting any incorrect or inaccurate
statement is requested by copy of this letter to advise of the
anomaly or this review will be assumed to be correct)
1) Overhead door replacement and exposure by removing brick
veneer - The existing deteriorated overhead doors were
replaced when there was a layer of brick separating the
doors from the exterior of the building. Now that the doors
are to be exposed to the elements by removing their brick
veneer cover, the Municipality has requested a State of
Florida "Product Approval" (or "NOA") confirming that the
doors meet the wind load requirements.
The doors have been determined to be full view aluminum
doors distributed by American Roll Up Door Co. as
manufactured for them by the Raynor Door Company (series
300). A copy of the Product Approval is attached and has
also been delivered to the Sanford Building Department with
a copy of this letter.
With the Product Approval and Engineered Plans in the
possession of the Sanford Building Department they advise oiNc
that they are prepared to issue a building permit to a
certified contractor of your choice. Note that the right SANFORD
to the engineered drawings are owned by the Engineer who
made the drawings and that an inspection of the work by t PARS

2) The Historic Georges pole sign must have the burned out
bulbs replaced with like items that are working. Any
further actions to the sign require approval of the
Planning Department.
3) The sign painted on the surface of the West wall of the
Building has had the dimensions requested by the Planning
Department submitted to the Planning Department and they
are satisfied that the sign is conforming.
4) The brick wall on the side of the building to the south has
been painted. The status of that wall is currently being
reviewed by the Director of Planning. The brick front wall
of the facility (west) remains unpainted. No painting is to
be done in the 17/92 corridor without a permit which is to
be obtained from the planning department. Any painting
permit requires the signature of the owner. No further
action is to be taken until directed by the Planning
Department.
5) The Storage area on the south side of the building
continues to be an approved occupancy, for use by the staff
only.
Any desire to change the Occupancy of the Storage area to
another use would require submission of documents to the
City for consideration. A Life Safety Plan would be
required to delineate the proposed use, adequacy of exits,
and availability of plumbing fixtures sufficient to meet
the occupancy load. A Site Plan would also be required to
demonstrate parking adequate to comply with regulations,
accessibility and landscape consistent with the parking.
There are no other issues outstanding at the present time,
but other items may develop as any action to satisfy these
items proceeds.
