A picture of a PV -1 airplane that was donated by the Sanford Airport Authority during the opening of the new terminal. A signed copy of "An Entrepreneur's Ten Commandments" from the Paulicci estate sale, donated by Sean McCann. Ms. Stephenson stated that the book doesn't have a historical value, however it is an item from the Paulicci estate and they might want to keep it. Another item from the Paulicci estate is a signed book, "The Power of the Peddler" that was written by his sister. There are 10,000 copies of this book. Ms. Stephenson stated that there are two options regarding the book. First to keep two books, one each from the collection or find out what the rights are to the book and possibly sell the book at the Museum. If permission was granted, the Historical Society would purchase the book then allowing the Museum to sell the book or raffle it off. The final new item that was donated is a unity item that was made and hung in the Welcome Center to show the support from the downtown merchants during the Trevon Martin timeline of events. It was decided to keep all of these items. Further information will follow regarding "The Power of the Peddler." Other items that have been donated are: a 1992 framed photograph of the Sanford Power plant with names of staff that worked at the plant. The Museum has a similar photo that is part of a scrapbook, however the 1992 photo has different elements in the photo. The group has decided to ask if they can scan the photo and keep it on file rather than keeping the current photo, due to the lack of storage space. The next item, a Folk art painting of the first Seminole High School Graduation by Linda Schapper. The folk art painting would not be donated and would need to be purchased by asking the Historical Society to purchase the paintings. However, the Historical Society is experiencing financial difficulties and may not be able to purchase the painting. The decision has been made to not purchase and review items that have only been donated. Ms. Thomas 1 asked about taking the painting as a loan. Ms. Stephenson responded that loans can be problematic and would prefer to not take loaned items. The group has decided to ask the Historical Society if they would like to purchase one of the paintings and then donate it to the Museum. The Garrett's Dry Goods and Furnishing Notions sign has been offered to the Museum, the group has decided to table the decision and will regroup and make a final decision. Finally, the Mike Mercer collection of Sanford Naval Air Station, inclusive of forty images and patches has been offered to the Museum. The group has decided to keep all of the Mike Mercer ephemera. Meeting adjourned at 5:54 Pm. 2
