An original 4 circuit panel in the hallway and an another one just off the kitchen. Both of these panel will be eliminated and all circuits will be relocated to the outside panel. Junction boxes will be installed for some wiring due to length issues. The outside service panel is also in pretty bad shape" and will need to be replaced, Unfortunately the previous updates were not done to NEC (National Electric Code) requirements. One issue we will have is the location of the water heater that is outside. It is currently in front of the meter center (see photo)and violates the codes clearance requirements. (Minimum clearance is 3 ft). 1 have already contacted my plumber and he is going to let me know what the cost will be to have it moved. Another issue is the height requirement on the overhead service feeders. NEC requires that the bottom of the drip loop must be a minimum of 10 feet off of the finished grade. At this point it is about 8'1 °. (see photo) We have the ability to meet the code requirements by running a new service mast, through the roof line where it would "run 3 ft above the roof. This is a very common practice and won't be an issue. I have already contacted my roofing contractor and his fee is approx. $195.00 to properly seal up around the mast.
