Acceptance of permit is verification that I will notify the owner of the property of the requirements of Florida Lien Law, FS 713. The City of Sanford requires payment of a plan review fee at the time of permit submittal. A copy of the executed contract is required in order to calculate a plan review charge and will be considered the estimated construction value of the job at the time of submittal. The actual construction value will be figured based on the current ICC Valuation Table in effect at the time the permit is issued, in accordance with local ordinance. BUILDING: Revised: June 30, 2015 Pennit Application CITY OF SANFORD FIRE DEPARTMENT PLAN REVIEW COMMENTS Application Number: 17-2401 Date: 8/23/2017 Project Description: Exterior Alterations Contact Name: Job Address: 1012 Olive Ave Contact Email: Building & Fire Prevention Division This is a general overview for code compliance in accordance with the minimum plan review required by the Florida Building Code. It is not a complete detailed review. The comments noted in this review must be addressed before the plans can be approved. Changes to plans shall be submitted on the same size format as the original submittal — changes in letter form are not permitted. All references to FBC Chapter 1 are as amended by City of Sanford ordinance viewable on our website at www.sanfordfl.gov. Provide two copies ofaffected plan sheets and/or supplemental information: as requested. Permit submittals will not be accepted without two copies. COMMENTS: 1. The Description of Work on the permit application specifies "Roof Porch, Wood Repairs & Stucco." The only work addressed on the submitted plans is to build a front covered porch. There is no information regarding wood repairs. In addition, the home does not currently have any stucco, rather siding on the exterior walls. Please submit the following documentation that covers all of the work required to be done on the home: FBC 107 • Signed & sealed plans addressing any exterior wall wood rot. • Florida Product Approval and corresponding installation instructions for the siding that will be replaced 2. The plans to rebuild the front porch are incomplete. The plans show conventional trusses will be installed. Please provide either two (2) copies of signed & sealed truss engineering or a conventionally framed truss detail on the signed & sealed plans. FBC 107 3. Please provide two (2) copies of Florida Product Approval and corresponding installation instructions for the new shingles and underlayment that will be installed on the front porch roof. FBC 107 4. In reference to the Code Enforcement case #17-000296, some of the window openings need to be addressed. There are windows installed that are smaller than the opening size. Windows are required to be the same size of the opening, otherwise signed and sealed engineering is required to partially close in the window openings. The plywood placed in the window opening is not permitted. In addition, the windows have been installed without the required permit. Any new windows require Florida Product Approval. FBC 107 Any error or omission in this plan review shall not be construed to grant approval of any violation of any of the adopted codes or municipal ordinances of this jurisdiction. Office meetings with the plans examiner to discuss comments will require an appointment, arraneed by phone or email prior to arrival.
