All measurements in this Contract and on the pool plan are approximate and the pool dimensions contained in the Contract may vary from the "as built" measurements. 4. EXTRAS: If the Owner requests any change or material modification in the scope of the work as contemplated by the general Construction Specifications requiring additional labor, equipment or materials to LAZY DAIS, the Owner shall sign Change Order for said changes and cost for price quoted and payment must be paid prior to commencing. 5. The YARDGARD can be used to monitor potential dangerous areas, and provides a loud volume alarm/alert when these areas are entered. It can be used indoors or outdoors, mounted on a wooden fence or metal gate. It can be mounted on any doorway or opening that leads to potentially dangerous areas. CAUTION: The alarm siren is very loud. Never place the unit close to your ear. Prolonged exposure to the loud siren can affect your hearing. Install the unit at minimum height 54", high enough to be out of reach of children. This YARDGARD is an entry monitor device. All safety precautions should be maintained, including parental supervision. YG03MAN-REV 01.17-DATE 9/2017 Installing the Battery Before installing the battery, use a rubber -band to hold the magnet sensors together temporarily, with dot matched to dot, thereby preventing the alarm from sounding after the battery is installed when mounting the unit. To install the battery, remove the four screws at the back, then open the battery door. Install a fresh 9V battery (not included) into the battery compartment. Check the polarity. Close the battery door and tighten the four screws. Now the unit is ON and in working mode. To check if battery is installed properly, press the battery check button located at the lower right corner. The unit will beep when you press this button. If no beep sound is heard, check the battery installation again, or replace with a new battery. Auto Battery Check The unit will keep monitoring the battery level. When it detects that the battery is low, you will hear a loud and short beep every minute. Change battery when you hear this beep. YG03MAN-REV 01.17-DATE 9/2017 Mounting on a Wooden Fence Install the mounting bracket onto a fence post using the two bigger screws. Slide the alarm unit onto this mounting bracket. You will feel a click when the unit is properly installed. Mount the two magnet sensors onto the fence post, one on each side, using the four smaller screws. Mounting on a Metal Gate Install the mounting bracket onto a gate post using two nylon straps. Slide the alarm unit onto this mounting bracket. You will feel a click when the unit is properly installed. Mount the two magnet sensors onto the two spacer stands using the four smaller screws and then mount this sensor assembly onto the gate post using the nylon straps. YG03MAN-REV 01.17-DATE 9/2017 Mounting on a Wall And Glass Doors Install the mounting bracket using two piaces of double sided foam tape. Slide the alarm unit onto this mounting bracket. You will feel a click when the unit is properly installed. Apply the double sided foam tape onto the bottom recessed area of magnet sensor pair. Mount the magnet sensors, one on the door and the other on the door frame. Mount the magnet sensor with the wire onto the stationary surface such as door frame. Additional PASS/RESET Switch This unit provides an additional PASS/ RESET switch, which can be mounted on the other side of the door for convenient access from both sides. YG03MAN-REV 01.17-DATE 9/2017 Operation This YARDGARD is designed to monitor t-he opening of gate or door, to alert an adult if a child has opened a gate or door to a potential dangerous area. Check the battery. Press the CHECK button should give a loud beep, otherwise replace with a new battery. The unit will give a loud siren if gate or door is opened by more than one inch. For adult entry, press the PASS button. The unit will allow the door be opened up to 7 seconds without triggering alarm. However, if the gate or door is opened for over 7 seconds, the alarm will trigger. To reset the alarm, first close the door and then press the PASS/RESET button. The alarm is now back to stand by mode. To exit the protected area, press the PASS/RESET button and exit the area within 30 seconds. Automatic Reset Under All Conditions The unit will be reset automatically in 30 seconds after the last key activation. If the PASS/RESET button is pressed but the adult entry 7 seconds allowance is not utilized, this adult entry allowance will be canceled in 30 seconds, and reset to standby mode automatically. YG03MAN-REV 01.17-DATE 9/2017 Auto Siren OFF Siren can be turned OFF manually as describe on previous section, or the unit will reset in 4 minutes automatically if the gate is closed. Automatic Continuous Monitoring If alarm is triggered and reset by itself in 4 minutes, the unit will check the condition of magnet contact sensor to decide if the door remains open or not. If the door is left open, the alarm sounds again for 4 minutes, check the door condition again and continue the cycle until the door is closed. IMPORTANT Keep the distance between the two magnet sensor contacts to a maximum of 3/4" Test the unit by opening the door. The alarm should go off immediately; otherwise contact SmartPoo at (732) 730-9880. Do not rely on the alarm until the test results are satisfactory.
