Staff Reports/Discussion:
1. Sanford Avenue Block Party: Event review— Event hours are 5 —10 PM; Road closure is 4 —11 PM:
There will be two bands — one at 41" Street and one at 5t" Street; vendors will all be the east side of the
road. No kids zone. Each vendor/merchant will be required to have mask and sanitizer, and each
table/tent will be spaced 15' from the adajacent vendor. Dessert vendors and merchandise vendors
expected. No large food trucks. No costume contest, but costumes are expected. The applicant will
have two 8' tables and is encouraging guest to bring their own chairs.
The road closure will be Sanford Avenue between 4th and 511 Street. Applicant unsure of total guest to
expect. She will also utilized social media to encourse guest bring their own chairs and adhere to social
distancing requirements. Jennifer noted that we are not returning to "normal events". The applicant
will not "pay to push" her advertisement which will lessen the exposure of the event. The applicant has
experienced problems with guest that do not want to adhere to mask requirements and is concerned
this may be an issue. PD will be onsite to enforce a trespass order. Jerry reminded applicant that all

6. HSWC Zoo fundraiser— 10/31 -the applicant is anticipating a request for change in site plan and have
the movie screen located on the north side of the building.
• Concessions will be available
• No alcohol
• Jennifer request signed checklist and new map for review
7. Alive After 5 —will not have the October event
8. Turkey Day 5K —
• Covid checklist has been returned
• No vendors
• Registration for only 500
• Staggered start/stop lines
• Masked required when not running
• 20 minute start window
• PD — one officer at 5 am remaining officers at 630 am
• Onsite registration is not expected
• City staff will be responsible for maintaining the bathrooms
• One table for packet pickup
• Speakers will be faced toward the water & applicant is aware of the DBA level
• Parks staff will ensure the sprinklers are turned off
• Early packet pickup will be in Lake Mary
• 8 officers will be required at 5K runs
• Jennifer will not need to attend the event
• The applicant is planning on a deejay playing background music and remind of social distancing
• Jennifer will provide the lead officers contact information for the event
9. CAAM 200K —Start point will be on Sanford Avenue
• Jennifer spoke with the applicant and will send the COVID requirements checklist for review
and signature
• Applicant questioned the mask requirement. Jennifer explained by definition a special event
would have the expectation of not being able to social distance as required therefore mask
would be required until after departure. There cannot be a large gathering of people without
mask. Once they leave, they are free to remove mask as they feel safe.
• Participants that return to Celery City will abide by the requirements there
• Will return for review on 10/20
