On July 17, 2017 1 sent a plan review comment letter to Sam Cort addressing the building plans that were submitted with that application. On August 17, 2017 we received a new, application and plans for the project, Application number 17-2531.On August 24, 2017 1 sent a plan review comment letter for that permit to Mr. Sam Cort. On November 6, 2017 that permit application and plans were withdrawn from the city. On November 8, 2017 we received a new permit application from a new contractor, Mega Construction & Development, permit number 17-3256. On November 9, 2017 a plan review comment letter was sent to the email address of shanA@gmail.com whom I believe to be Mr. Ibraham. I contacted the Architect of record this morning and asked him if Mr. Ibraham had forwarded my comment letter to him for review. He informed me that he did not. So we are waiting for a response to those comments. I agree the application process has taken a long time but I feel that it is not because I or we as a city have not corresponded to Mr. Ibraham in a professional and timely manner. I will be happy to meet with you and the City Manager if you wish. Thanks. There is a lot going on with the particular site. The power has been recently disconnected for unsafe electrical service conditions. Mr. Ibrahim stated that he's been trying to get a permit since July. He stated that he's complied with all of our requests at the time given, but he feels that we keep requesting additional work to be done that wasn't originally requested. He stated that he needs to open his business because this is his only source of income, and he has been paying a mortgage on this location since July. He also stated that as of November 8th we are imposing a $150 daily fine. He stated that he's prepared to go to Tallahassee with his complaints. His home is going into foreclosure, he cannot feed his family, and if he doesn't get his business opened he will have to commit suicide because that's would be his only option. He mentioned that he's been working with Joy. Please note, Mr. Ibrahim spoke really fast with a heavy accent. He thanked me for listening to him and he feels that he's been ridiculed when he contacts us. Please let me know how we can assist Mr. Ibrahim. Regards, Nikki Nicole J.
